Well I removed the TK tires as they only last me just over 1000 miles. I don’t go off road so after some research on here , I decided on the Avon Trailmaster tires. AV54 & Av53.

I think these will be way better on the winding roads I have where I live and can bang on a little harder In the Twisties. i bought new sprockets and new chain will be here tomorrow.
I will test ride it tomorrow after fitting new chain and jet you know my experience with these.
Not cheap but I think these will be better for riding on the tarmac all the time.
I love the knobby tire look but just not practical for the riding I do.
I’ve ridden over 13,000 miles on this Scrambler ride every day .
So I’m eager for tomorrow .

Metzeler Tourance: These tires do look good, I am running TK60 and they last less than a year on the road I travel everyday, that's just not worth buying, already gone through two sets as the road here have many curves and bends, so not going off road at all.
But these Metzlers look great, any recommendations?????I have a 900 EFI 2015 Triumph Scrambler.

Almost finished with the old girl, it's not a restoration by any means, but it was sat in a back yard for many years, Sun, rain, wind and dust had had a go at this inline four.
I dragged it out and have managed to resurrect her to a good looking machine once more.
I need a New front tire and a few little touches to do then I will put her up for sale, hope that some of you like it?

Many Moons ago on my driveway in the city of Orange, The Golden Arrow was such a trick bike and made a 5 inch stretched fuel tank from 2 stock ones.
That was a really fun Motorcycle to ride too when it was completed about 2006.

Well, I pulled her out of the barn , still need a few little things but I’m happy with it .

1976 CB750K Honda Big Four .

Sometimes these things are sent to try us? And try us they did.
This 1976 CB750-K has fought me tooth and nail , but I shall not be denied.
The main stand needed to be removed, media blasted and powder coated .
I had to soak it a long time with WD40 and plus gas as the stand would not move an inch.
Due to many years of being sat outside in a garden, where it rusted like a local iron lamp post on a favorite dog walking corner .

But I did all I could to get this off without marking the lower half of the bike.
My spring I purchased was new old stock but my old spring tool had broken, I had to make a Cub Scout repair and set in in vice grips to get this contraption to stretch the Spring enough to locate on the peg that’s on the stand.
So I defeated the issue and feel kinda proud right now.

Tomorrow I’m going to fit Brand New 4 into 4 exhausts from Japan.
Sure hope that goes a little more easier.

I've done so many things in my life and many more to come for sure, enjoy life and live it to it's fullest as time certainly seems to fly by these days/

Photos from Carpys Cafe Racers's post 07/14/2024

Making some headway this weekend on the 1976 Cb750k Honda .
Powder coated the swing arm as it was rusty , fitted new bushings etc.
New shocks, new chain, new brake rod too.
Chromed the stabilizer bar and wheel spacer and chromed the sprocket cover as that was thrashed.
The rear fender/mudguard was rusty so stripped and chromed that as well. Then fitted a new inner fender to clean underneath up.
New seat as well just to tidy rear end and look more presentable etc.
Still need to fit tail light section and grab rail etc but she is looking a lot more completed now and will have a new lease of life soon.
I have Brand New Chrome 4 into 4 exhausts from Japan to fit and that will really stand out.
Just thought I’d share as more to do as I need a chain guard too.
But all in all a good day was had on a hot Saturday in the Barn.

Another photo I have not seen in many many years but always cool to see these, especially 60 pounds lighter too lol.

06/25/2024

I just came across some old pics almost 20 years old, thought Id share this one of a 1978 CB750 I built, fun bike.

Man time really does fly, this was about 2004-2005 when I was just mocking up the Tracy Special Cafe Bike for the GNRS show in Pomona. I got 2nd place with it, only to be beaten by another Cafe, My Black 75 LOL, 1st and 2nd was a great achievement and I completely forgot about these photos my mate Chris Notion took. That 230 pound motor is something I have always lifted in and out of these CB's for almost a quarter of a century here in California and my back will never be the same, but hey- what ya gonna do on ya own? Thought I would share.

Had fun building this in the early 2000 in the O.C. and it went over to Maple Country.

06/18/2024

Still love this Old pic when I first moved to the USA and built my first machine, did so many miles on that bike.

06/18/2024

Years ago this was taken, that was a fun machine to rip around on, ended up I think going to Vancouver Island. I built that from a plastic bin full of discarded parts.

Photos from Carpys Cafe Racers's post 06/08/2024

I thought I may as well pull the original clutch cable off the bike due to it being a little ragged and dry.
Replaced with New Cabke and New old stock chrome cover .
Another bit ticked off the list of things to do.
Still have to rebuild rear wheel, get swing arm powder coated but I’m happy how it’s progressing.
