Thanks to the California State Coastal Conservancy, My Day Counts participants have taken many trips to the coast! During one trip, participants developed leadership and teambuilding skills which was especially helpful for many who have a goal for future employment. Another trip included a harbor boat ride, which was the first time many had ever been on a boat! Participants also visited the Bolsa Chica Conservancy to learn more about nature and wildlife near the coast. We are grateful for these wonderful opportunities that provide participants access to the coast! 🌊
Grateful for our partnership with Walgreens, one of our paid training sites for participants seeking employment! The experience gained from these trainings are very valuable and many participants have stated they enjoyed their tasks and would love to do similar kind of work once they are employed. And thank you to our Job Coaches for their support in training and encouraging our participants as they work on improving their skills.
