What do you think? We all need a creative outlet of some sort. Mine are gardening and making beautiful tumbler cups. What are your creatives?

Going “all in” is often our downfall at the beginning of the new year. Make a plan. Write down SPECIFICS. For example: do NOT write “I’m going to lose 20#” (at least not as a stand alone statement). Or even “I want to be healthier.” What does that mean? HOW are you going to achieve it? I want to lose 20# by X date. I will cut out processed sugars….start with morning donut, or full cream in your coffee. Then identify the next obstacle and the next. Make your goals realistic and attainable. It’s nice to have “stretch goals.” I have them myself. But the key is to not feel defeated if you don’t achieve those in the timeline you set forth! As long as you are marching in that direction, you are WINNING! You can do it! Map out new habits and the goal will naturally follow!

Our Metabolic Program can help you take control of your health back! We have had immense success with our program in the latter half of 2022 and will be even better in 2023! We can now offer in office medical management when needed.

Empower yourself! Don’t put your health in someone else’s pocket…YOU are in control of what you out in your mouth, what you drink, how much you move, HOW YOU SOEAK TO YOURSELF! These things MATTER. Don’t wait to be sick to implement these changes. Take your body seriously. Listen to its signals. You will thank it later!

Bring your water! Bring some snacks Bring a coat/hat/appropriate shoes Plan ahead! It really helps

Today was NOT my day….many false starts, obstacles…just not great. But here we are, getting our movement done anyway. You know you best. Don’t make excuses for yourself. You got this!

I usually give my scraps to my worms…but I don’t think they like peppers. 🤷‍♀️ Another helpful tip: DON’T touch your face or eyes after cutting this many peppers! 🌶 This is chicken fajita soup. It’s an old recipe from Rachel Ray and one of the few things I make that my youngest will actually eat!

You want to cure your sweet potatoes for 7-14 days. They need to be kept at about 90*F with high humidity. I hope this little hack helps!

For those who prefer a more natural approach to first aid: Still, a first aid kit comes in handy. Hydrogen peroxide Fresh aloe for burns, scrapes and skin irritation) Turmeric for inflammation/headaches Peppermint tea for upset stomachs Butterbur and Stinging nettle for allergies. Melatonin for sleep issues. Most importantly!!!! Talk to your child about any medical issues they may have, any allergies to foods or medications, and how to use the things you are sending with them. Speak to your teachers as well, so everyone can be on the same page. This group has done an incredible job!

Camp preparedness: Bumps, scrapes and bruises have been the main theme…so a little first aid kit goes a long way! Sore scratchy throats were a thing, so throat lozenges came in handy. Benadryl is amazing for many things…(I’ll do a separate reel) Something for nausea if your child is prone to it. Evens Tums can be a good tool. Feminine pads are a must! (Someone at camp is liable to start!) Ice packs. A couple of Ace bandages (just in case).

MSH is in charge of ACTH production, which controls cortisol release. This affects our sleep and wake cycles leading to chronic fatigue MSH also affects Leptin, our fullness/satiety hormone (leading to Leptin resistance and weight loss resistance). MSH affects the gut lining, and controls the absorption of gliadin (gluten intolerance). MSH affects cytokine production and response, making those who are MSH deficient more susceptible to chronic pain. It also affects ADH (anti diuretic hormone) leading to increased urination and dehydration. It’s a LOT to process, but we can help you figure it out and get your health back!

Out in nature enjoying God’s creation! Woodpeckers are hard at work and squirrels are right behind them storing food for the winter!
