The "itsy-bitsy" tarantula has visited our residents at Assisted Living. Nichole is a music teacher from Santigo Canyon College and her daughter Genesee brought her tarantula to share at show and tell. Our excited residents had this experience at The Meridian and one of our residents even used to own one as a pet! 🕷️

For we made Hawaiian Shaved Ice for our Memory Care Residents. We had a great time reminiscing about our trips to Hawaii and one of our residents even shared that she was born there.

We welcomed a new entertainer to our community, Robert, who plays the saxophone. The residents had a great time interacting with him, at times he would play a few notes and they would have to guess the song; and of course our residents knew them all.
When Barbara was younger she took classes on how to give massages. While we were doing massage therapy, Barbara offered to help out and give gentle massages to her friends.
Jennifer from Santiago Canyon College has been teaching our residents the beginner lessons how to crochet. Elaine is learning a new hobby, and her goal is to make a purse.
Our Virtual Bingo game is almost complete, with just one spot left dedicated to aromatherapy and its positive impact on memory. Research shows that the sense of smell, the most powerful and memory-linked of the five senses, can evoke emotions and recall memories due to its direct connection to the brain's emotional centers. Our theme at Assisted Living was Frank Sinatra musicals!! Alan, who got into character, performed the classic tunes on the piano. Our lucky winner Edie got her own poster!! She loved listening to her favorite tunes 🎶
We had the cutest little volunteer for balloon volleyball. Not only did we get a great workout, we also enjoyed a bit of baby therapy as well.
