The 24-25 Yearbook Leadership Team is getting a head start on this year’s book. They’re busy learning about design, layout, and how they are going to capture an exciting year at the Prep.

We’re excited to recognize our English department award winners for the 23-24 school year. Congratulations everyone!

It’s time to celebrate our Math Department winners for the 23-24 school year. We are so proud to be able to recognize these Huskies for their hard work this year.

Congratulations to these senior athletes who have signed on to compete in college. Only about 7% of high school athletes go on to play in college so we are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication to athletics and academics.

Sofia V., Ella C. Kim H., and Noelle K. took home the highest award, The Pete Conrad Scholar Award in Aerospace and Aviation last week at the Conrad Challenge held in Texas. Their project, LotICE, proposes a new way to prevent ice buildup on aircraft wings. Congratulations!

Who’s ready for the City of Stars?! Fairmont Prom will be at the House of Blues in Anaheim on May 18. Tickets go on sale Monday 4/22 for $100. Get them this week before the price goes up. Be sure to complete the permission slip before you buy your tickets. We hope to see you there.

Fairmont Prep Debate swept the National Debate Coaches Association Championships in Bloomington, Indiana. Over three days and over nine rounds of competition, Fairmont took home the Triple Crown in Public Forum Debate: Top Speaker, Top Season Performer, and closed out finals where the team of Stavan S. ‘25 and Aumrita S. ‘25 as well as the team of Ara M. ‘24 and Roy K. ‘25 were the final two teams remaining. In the last 15 years, only two schools have closed out finals. Additionally, the freshmen and sophomore team of Alexis K. and Willie T. took 4th place on top of the speaking awards they also earned.

Congrats to everyone on this amazing accomplishment and to Coach Gabe Rusk!

Tegh S. ‘25 has been busy with his nonprofit organization Beyblades for a Cause and was able to present a donation to St. Jude Hospital. He has plans to donate to CHOC and the LAFD soon as well. Congrats Tegh!
