I will be opening this evening to sell tortillas and chile con carne. I sold out of chili at the Spenard Farmers Market but I made a whole additional batch per the request of The community. I will post at what time I expect to be open. I expect to be open sometime after 5:00 p.m. Hope to see everyone at the shop.

Additionally, I am working on building out the football menu for football season. Please respond with suggestions of things you guys would like to see. These will be bulk order items that I will need 24 hours notice to prepare.

I am hoping to have the burrito press fully installed by Wednesday. Hopefully producing the first burrito size tortillas by the weekend. Of the five flavors I have, I plan on having two available by Saturday. Everyone, please comment on which flavor you would prefer me start with.

Curry, Southwest, cheesy garlic, classic, or chocolate?

My vote is Southwest, cuz it's my favorite. But this is Anchorage's tortilleria And the decision rightly belongs with the community/Anchorage family.

The success of this tortilleria has been all due to the ownership Alaska has taken of their tortilleria. I plan to continue to facilitate that to the best of my ability because I can feel how important this is to the community and I know how important it was to me being able to have a tortilleria I could call my own. Keep Rocking Anchorage!!

Soup of the day is $6 for a cup $9 for a bowl. Rice is available on the side if requested.

The goal is to have the burrito press delivered next week. I will be working hard over the weekend to get everything set up so that it can be quickly installed. Hopefully be pressing out burritos by the end of the week.

Great news everyone. I just found out the burrito press is in town. Hopefully I can get it up and running in the next couple of weeks and we will have burrito size tortillas in multiple flavors.

This will be a game changer for Anchorage!!!

Soup of the day at tortillaworks is charro bean soup. It's rainy. It's a little chilly, perfect day for a little bean soup.

A cup of soup goes for $6 and a bowl of soup goes for $9. The soup will be ready by 3:00 today. Come inside and enjoy some delicious charro bean soup!

We are still accepting bulk orders for Labor Day that includes the Labor Day discount. All bulk orders will be ready Monday morning in time for your Labor Day festivities

Labor Day Bulk Order Menu (50 dollar minimum order)

Tortillas:
First five packs are the regular price of $9 per 10 tortillas.
Every subsequent pack is $7 per pack

Rice / Beans:
$10 for a quart of rice or beans. Discounted from $6 for a pint

Meat:
For every 2 lbs of meat (beef or chicken) the 3rd lb is half off

Mole or Texas Red Chile Enchilada (take and bake):
10 take and bake enchiladas for $50 -or-
20 take and bake enchiladas for $90

Salsa/hot sauce/ or chile con queso:
Buy 1 get one 1/2 off

Orders will need to be made over the phone. 907-744-2815 or through facebook messenger.

Orders must be prepaid

Pickup will be scheduled at the time of the call. It can either be done on Sunday Evening or Saturday Morning.

If delivery is required, this can be discussed at the time of payment.

I have cheesy garlic tortillas, chocolate tortillas, Southwest tortillas, And our classic tortillas. Everything fresh pressed as always.

I will unlock the doors at 4:00 today and be open for a few hours. Hope everyone has a chance to get their last minute tortilla pickup done.

FYI, Any additional ball quarters that are going to be made using the Labor Day special? We'll have to be picked up tomorrow morning.
