First, our friends at AnchoragePBL.com are hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. in , to officially open and celebrate Phase II of the Anchorage Protected Bike Lane Study, which will run along A St. and 6th Ave. This is exciting news for Anchorage, as local leaders consider ways to increase the ease of transportation and decrease the reliance on motor vehicles. Consider joining a group bike ride led by Anchorage Park Foundation at Elderberry Park, or by Bike Anchorage at the Anchorage Museum, starting at 4:30 p.m.!

Friends, the son of one of our former line cooks was terribly injured in an accident. Treatment and other expenses for his spinal cord injuries will cost almost $200K AFTER insurance.
