Sam Burchfield is a story telling and passionate musician who aims to connect people to Earth and to each other through incredible melodies of what he calls “soulful folk”. Growing up in the Appalachian mountains, raised on gospel and folk, Sam brings a refreshing and authentic vibe to the world of music. A golden ticket holder on ‘American Idol’, he declined to continue on as he decided to move his music career forward on his terms. Sam Burchfield and his band, The Scoundrels truly express life’s ups and downs through their music for all to enjoy and relate. TSUNAMI WARNING!
Saké Tsunami is back in limited quantities at all three 49th State Brewpubs on Tuesday 7/16. This incredibly unique experimental lager/saké hybrid was brewed with jasmine rice and koji spores like a saké to jump-start the fermentation, then finished with an imperial lager yeast strain. Notes of sweet rice, hints of cantaloupe fruitiness, and nuances of shiitake earthiness swirl together harmoniously to create something incredible. Get it while you can.

Some of our favorite brews just took home medals at the 2024 US Beer Open Championship. Out of the over 9,000 beers entered from across the country, four 49th State beers medaled: Smōk won gold, Nitro McCarthy Stout and Mt. Marathon NA IPA took home silver medals, and Blonde Eagle Ale won bronze. Congratulations to the other winning breweries - we are honored and humbled to be next to you on the winners list.

It's a perfect fun weekend activity with friends and family and there's a safe lockup for your ride that we installed on 3rd Ave next to the stairs down to the garden.

Biere de Miel, brewed and bottle-conditioned with buckets of Snowbee honey from our Anchorage brewery’s rooftop apiary, is now available in limited quantities at our three brewpubs. Intense aromas of freshly harvested honeycomb envelop you as soon as you crack the bottle, harmonizing with orange blossom and hazelnut notes to create a unique taste of Alaska.

Taking a sip of Biere de Miel is like being swept away by an Alaska honey flood. To brew this beer, we used buckets upon buckets of Snowbee honey from the hives of our Snowbees who call our brewery's rooftop apiary home year-round. Intense notes of freshly harvested honeycomb, hints of orange blossom, and hazelnut nuances harmonize to create a unique tasting experience that beautifully showcases Alaska's terroir. Biere de Miel, meaning "honey beer" in French, was bottle-conditioned to create an extra effervescent sparkle and further accentuate the honey character. You can grab bottles of Biere de Miel to go or enjoy it with us at 49th State brewpubs on Tuesday 7/2.

Our Snowbees from our brewery's rooftop apiary are buzzing about the new honey beer we're dropping at all three 49th State Brewing brewpubs on Tuesday, July 2nd.

This summer solstice, we're raising a can of Solstice IPA to the first day of summer. Originally brewed as a one-off beer for our 2012 Solstice Brewfest, this supremely balanced, citrus-forward IPA was too good to only brew once. We've been brewing, drinking, and loving it ever since. Let us pour you a cold one at our Solstice Beer Garden at the Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage on Saturday. Cheers!
