We are looking for a new human to join our pack!

If you love dogs, like to clean, feed and hang out with our dog friends then we would love to talk to you. Hours that we are looking to fill would be 6:30 a.m till 3 p.m. - This would be on a part time bases - Monday through Friday mostly, but could fill in on weekends and holidays.

1 sable & 2 black females. This litter is from Nora (black female) and Takko (sable male). Mom and dad are onsite. They are very social dogs who love to please their family and are loyal protectors of the family and property. Both parents are imported from Germany and have their OFA certification.

This is our last litter this year and perhaps ever. If you are interested in our German Shepard puppies this might be your last chance to get one. We have 3 females and 3 males left out of Nora and Takko’s litter. They are currently 4 weeks old and starting to transition to puppy food this week.

Oliver, aka Big Ollie, turned 2 years old! Big Ollie is the most helpful corgi of all time. When we need help getting a dog to come to us, Oliver shows him how to do it! He is the best playground monitor out there and we are lucky he comes and spends his days with us! Happy Birthday, buddy!

Viral Papilloma, commonly called "warts" they are very contagious and can easily be spread between dogs at dog parks, doggie day care and other dog-to-dog interactive environments. Young dogs (2 years old and younger) are most commonly affected. We have noticed a case of them here at MDC the past few weeks.

Ways to prevent contamination and spread:
* washing toys, food and water dishes regularly
* washing hands between handling different dogs
* monitoring your dog and isolating from other dogs for contagious period of 1-2 months
* consult veterinarian if not resolved in 2-3 months
* most cases go away with the dogs body and responding and healing itself

We have 3 Sable Male German Shepherds available. They are 8 weeks old. Nena (mom) is a black GSD and Takko (dad) is a sable, both imported from Germany with their OFA certifications. Message us for details!

There are currently 170+ dogs at the Wichita Animal Shelter and who knows how many at local rescue groups. I can’t help but think about all of them and wonder how many were given up on just because they didn’t know how to be obedient. So many dogs are surrendered over very simple behavior issues and most are just lacking basic obedience.
