I continue to be amazed at my seniors. No, not the ones graduating from high school. The ones who have earned paperless degrees. You know, "Life" degrees. They have grey hair because their brains are so full of wisdom from all life has taught them.

Presenting symptoms: Severe arm pain, couldn't lift arm above shoulder.
After Gua Sha treatment: Pain free and able to lift arm to head height.
Common questions:
Does Gua Sha hurt? For some, it does, for others, it does not. It depends on your pain tolerance. It is not the most comfortable treatment, but 99% of the time, the results are 50-85% improvement of pain after only 1 treatment. For people in pain, 30 minutes of uncomfortable therapy is totally worth the results of being pain-free for weeks!

Why does Gua Sha cause marks? I am releasing fascia. Fascia is what holds your body together. You have it from head to toe. It is connected to the muscle, and once the muscle tightens up, the fascia develops scar tissue and adhesions on it. I am combing those out the same way you comb the tangles out of your hair. This allows for better blood flow and nerve conduction.

How long do the marks last? Typically, 3-5 days. The marks are not painful to touch. Some patients have a little soreness the day after, but our magnesium cream helps tremendously after treatment.
