Three of us, and our husbands, bought 40 acres. Watch us transform it!
My dahlias(grown from seed) struggled through the 105 degree heat that was July, got some funny looking cooties(rust) I threw some fertilizer on them two weeks ago and watered it in-my first healthy looking blooms -WHOOT
Good Morning from the flower fields
My dead head bouquets today
Today's "dead head"bouquet. Also next to last weeks bouquet(still going strong) and strawflowers that dried from last week plus a handful of lavender and bolting mint.
Apparently the heat hasn't fazed these lovelies 🚜🌻🧑🌾
Some of the lovelies that survived cricket armageddon and the crazy heat wave
I think I have some to share with the first two of our followers who want to venture to the farm on Saturday morning(7/13/24) and cut some flowers? My glads had just started popping last week, my zinnias, rudbeckia and straw flowers were blooming like crazy. LMK if you are interested!

too hot to cook!
Cricket Armageddon seems to have dissipated, last week so many hoppers-this week not so many! Fingers crossed!
a handful of flowers on the eve of cricket armageddon
The volunteer sunflowers are providing some much needed shade. In addition to the green lacewings, I tried companion planting with Allysium, marigolds, cosmos, basil and dill.
In addition to the ladybugs aka "the cavalry" I put out some green Lacewings and Assassin bugs. Trying to manage pests as naturally as possible. One of our unique sunnies and a peek at my straw flowers
The garden is waking up !
A little red, white and blue from the field in honor of Memorial Day. All gave some, some gave all.
It's a bloomin' good time!
Dahlias, Sunnies and Zinnias found their way into the flower field and I finished putting in my peppers and tomatoes. The challenge was planting the latter around the 25 "volunteer" sunnies in my garden. Busy Weekend!
Took a break from the flower fields yesterday, "harvested" my $29 strawberry🙄Added another 12 tomatoes to my personal veggie patch! I was happy to see the 25 plus volunteer sunflowers in my garden, a few cosmos, all my lavender came back. Today it's back to the flower beds...
Kudos to Mother Nature for putting on the wild Iris show. Planning to plant out 200 gladiolus this weekend for the you pick
Putting in the flower beds,20 feet at a time.
It was great meeting everyone on Friday evening and Saturday morning and those brave peeps who weren't deterred by the less than stellar weather or my nosy pooches.
I'm sold out of a LOT. No lavender, only about ten cactus dahlias.

I have straw flowers, gomphrena, a few zinnia. Cherry toms(Sun Sugar) Oregon Spring(Slicers) Purple Beauty Peppers, Ca wonder peppers(gold)
I have some six packs with all peppers, all tomatoes or a mix of peppers and tomatoes.
My six packs are $3, my dahlias are $3 and all 3-4 inch pots are $1.

When your "seed problem" turns into a plant problem. First dahlia bloom tho, from seed!
I got crazy good germination with a few pepper varieties meaning I'm overwhelmed with Purple Beauty, California Golden Wonder,Pablanos and Banana Peppers.
I am creating a "pepper party" six pack for the "Last Frost Plant Sale" April 13-14, which would have a variety of these peppers in a 6 pack for $3, does that seem reasonable?
Organic, non GMO.
I have a few tomatoes and flowers that I would do the same with, just trying to figure out what you'd all purchase?
Otherwise 4 inch pots are $1, gallons are $2-$3 excepting lavender which is $3-$5
I can do a few straight six packs as well. Your feedback would be really helpful.
These are my youngest seedlings btw.
Melons and Zinnias!
