Letโs normalize *just showing up* - and celebrate it.
Because some days youโre going to have 100% mental and physical capacity and some days youโre not.
So if you only come to the gym on days where you feel good to go - youโre going to miss out on a lot of the days that actually contribute [in a big way] to your overall progress.
We donโt always have to push the envelope, which is an easy mistake to think when the elevator pitch of CrossFit is: constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity.
But what this really means is - the high intensity that you have on the day. It means, doing the best you can with your one hour of training [aka - make the most of it] - which is going to look different today and tomorrow and the next day.
And thatโs OK.
What youโll find is that, the more often you do show up, the easier it is to be ok with the days that arenโt your best.
It becomes easier to accept when youโre feeling like you canโt bring it, when youโre feeling beat up and tired from life, when you havenโt had the best sleep or when you have an injury.
It also becomes easier to know when to โThrow the Hammer Down!โ and really go for it.
If CrossFit only ever feels right when youโre at your best, then your training is going to become to intermittent and youโre actually going to miss out on the real benefits of the program.
- Ensuring that you stay fit and healthy and strong for the rest of your life.
So, letโs normalize and celebrate just showing up, so that we can continue to show up as often as possible - no matter what conditions we are facing or what seasons of life we are moving through.
Youโll be amazed by what happens when you come to class consistently.

Strong start to our Saturday! ๐ช
Donโt forget to bring a ruck, backpack, weighted vest, or both backpack or vest for this weeks Saturday morning class. We will be doing a Ruck workout. The Rx weight will be 35/25lb ruck and scaled will be 25/15lb ruck. If you have a 20lb vest you can wear that and then load a backpack with a 15lb dumbbell or plates for example.
What Is Rucking?
Rucking is a form of physical exercise that involves walking or hiking with a loaded backpack or rucksack, typically over varying distances and terrains. Simply add sandbags or other weighted objects to your backpack, and you have a workout that you can do anywhere.
Good luck to our athletes competing at Fittest of South Carolina this weekend!
Action starts Friday through Sunday and we will post heat times tomorrow!
Marissa Scaletta, Female Individual
