Food bank for citizens that live in Andover KS Andover Community Food Bank collects and distributes food to those in need in the Andover Community.
The food bank is supported entirely with donations from Andover and surrounding communities, including scouts, school, churches, and civic organizations
Our food bank is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and we'd love to see you next week! Come by and shop with us!
Last month, our friends at the Andover KS Police Department and our fellow neighbors and community members, came together for the annual Fill-A-Cruiser event. We couldn't be more thankful! We also want to let you know that this year, donations from this event were up over 25%! This year, the police department collected 2,534 lbs. of food!
We can hardly believe this and are blown away by the generosity of our amazing community! Though we've said it before, it is worth repeating...THANK YOU!

Wichita's 49th Annual Turkey Trot is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:45 a.m. The race begins and ends by Century II and participants are asked to contribute a jar of peanut butter for the Kansas Food Bank! Registration is open now, so grab your spot and help support our friends at the Kansas Food Bank this holiday season!
49th Annual Wichita Turkey Trot The 49th Annual Wichita Turkey Trot is on Saturday November 23, 2024. It includes the following events: 2 Mile (Ages 18+), 2 Mile (17 and Under), 10 Mile (Ages 18+), 10 Mile (17 and Under), and Tiny Turkey Trot - 250ft Dash (Ages 6 and Under).
The Andover Public Library has several events scheduled over the coming weeks, including holiday-themed crafts and story times. Head over to their website to learn more about these events:

It's a warm one today, but the colder months are quickly approaching. If you need assistance with your winter utilities, please check out the Low Income Energy Assistance Program. Applications are accepted from Nov. 18, 2024 through Mar. 31, 2025.
Energy Assistance - Economic & Employment Services ​​The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a Federally funded program that helps eligible households pay a portion of their home energy costs by providing a one-time per year benefit.

If you weren't able to get by Dillons this past weekend, the Andover PD is continuing to accept non perishable donations for the next two weeks. You can drop off donations in the lobby of the police department.
