Every year, a Parkview co-worker is awarded the prestigious Martha Goodrich Award, supported by the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation. The Martha Goodrich Award recognizes people who have provided exceptional service on behalf of exempt charitable organizations. It is intended to encourage others to devote their energy to accomplishing Parkview Health's charitable values.

This year, the recognition was awarded during Nurses Week to Theresa Smith, an RN in the Orthopedic and Trauma unit at Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC).

Theresa received tremendous support from her co-workers, who nominated her for the award, described her as “cheerful, warm and welcoming,” and shared that she “embodies all that is good in this world.”

Children who know how to cook enjoy eating wholesome foods! Kids in the Kitchen is a hands-on cooking and nutrition class. Participants will receive practical nutrition education on the MyPlate diagram, kitchen safety and reading a recipe. Then, students have an opportunity to follow a recipe and create their own masterpieces. Join Katie Fulk, MA, RDN, LD, Youth and Family Well-being Registered Dietitian and Parkview Health for an engaging and delicious cooking class!

Note: This class is for children ages 3+. One adult must attend with each child. Space is limited. Registration closes on the Tuesday before class at 12 p.m.
