Northview Middle School

Our MVP Retreat took place this morning with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm from all!

Our Student Lighthouse Retreat was a success! We spent our time planning for the school year and connecting with each other.

Katie Bleeker will be a new FCS teacher to our building! She used to be a design major prior to entering the field of FCS. She had plans of working for a video game or movie studio, hoping to work on character and environmental concept art. Katie is excited to pair this passion with her love of FCS, fashion, and interior design.

Katy Schwering will be a new special education teacher at Northview this year! She likes to think she has an artistic ability so you’ll need to put her to the test when you see her! Welcome Katy!

Kallie Kachel will be teaching 8th literacy at Northview this year. One unique thing about her is she’s a long-time “Swiftie”. She’ll get along great with the other “Swifties” in the building! Welcome Kallie!

Marina Omar will be teaching French at Northview and Centennial this year. She is a product of the Ankeny School system and is excited to get to know everyone at NV!

Northview welcomes Alex Hoop to our building! Alex will be teaching PE/Health. Alex is an Iowa State graduate and has been a Cyclone fan his entire life. Alex has a wife and an 8 year old daughter and they live in Ames. He enjoys going to the gym, hiking, being outdoors, taking trips with the family, and playing the guitar.

Stacey Christine will be joining our team as our new Art teacher for this school year! She is unique in that she has visited over 70% of the United States (37 states and DC). Welcome Stacey!

Welcome Brandy Anderson to our team at Northview! Brandy will be teaching Algebra 1 at NV next year. Brandy believes what sets her apart is her sense of humor. She has a knack for turning everyday mishaps into humorous, playfully exaggerated stories that make a lasting, yet entertaining, impression. Welcome Brandy!

We want to welcome our new ESOL Teacher to Northview. Lissa Fulkerson comes to us with an extensive background in ESOL Programming. A fun fact about Lissa is her brother teaches PE at Centennial. Welcome Lissa!

Last Day of School - Krispy Kremes from Northview PTO. We want to wish our NV teachers and staff a safe and relaxing Summer!!

Our newly formed Student Lighthouse Team for next year got together this afternoon for some team building, planning for next year, and helping with our Tug of War Competition! We all had a blast and we have some big plans for next year; just ask an SLT member!
