I don’t know where God will lead us in the new year, but I know He is moving things. While we have paused our efforts for now, we will continue to pray and ask for His leadership in our lives and this endeavor.
May the new year bring great joy and happiness to you and your family.
God bless us all.

We're excited to welcome Nate Evans to Freedom Construction Services. As superintendent, Nate brings nearly 20 years of experience dedicating his life to educating young adults as a teacher. For more than 15 years, he has worked with his church’s youth group and volunteered in youth sports. Nate has previously served as the sales and marketing manager for a local construction company. He is also the founder of Woodworking with a Purpose, a nonprofit organization in which Nate and his team made 2,200 desks for kids to learn and grow at home during the pandemic. They also made furniture for families in need across the Des Moines metro area.
Welcome, Nate!

Freedom Construction Services Freedom Construction Services is a pre-apprenticeship program from Freedom for Youth Ministries.
One thing we’ve enjoyed doing these last few years is highlighting other groups and programs in our community.
If you’ve not had the opportunity to visit Freedom Blend Coffee in Des Moines, you have to make it a point to stop and check it out. The atmosphere is amazing as is the coffee and food. Their breakfast burrito is unmatched and so is their service.
Hannah and her staff are very happy to accommodate you and the conference room is beautiful.
They offer gift cards for any occasion. It’s a great way to thank your customers or give to your coffee loving friends. They also carry some nice FBC gifts and clothing.
Did I mention they grind their own coffee beans?!
Freedom Blend is at 2329 Hickman Road in Des Moines. Stop and see them soon.
As we enter a new season, we want to highlight one particular organization that is doing life-changing work for young people in central Iowa: Freedom for Youth.
Freedom for Youth’s programs help so many young people and families, but their Freedom Construction Services program trains 18-25 year olds in the skilled trades and provides opportunities for them to enter the workforce in a skilled trade environment. We applaud their efforts and commitment to serve God and the community.
If you’ve been a supporter of WWP in the past, please consider giving to Freedom for Youth’s Freedom Construction. The link is below. Please make a note at the end of the form that you wish your donations to support Freedom Construction Services.
Thank you.
We are in the process of wrapping up what has been an amazing ride these past two and a half years or so. God is good and we appreciate all the support, donations, and sharing of our story.
We are working on replacing our worn out tools and other supplies. We are also working with our fiscal sponsor CORE Foundation to help us with the logistics of finishing up our projects and efforts to serve our community.
If you’re interested in helping us with any final expenses, you can Venmo us at Nate-Evans-120. Our tools and equipment have been provided by Nate and his small business, Evans Family Woodworking, LLC.
We are thankful to all those who’ve helped us help others and to all of you for sharing in this amazing opportunity.
God bless you all. We will have a few more updates soon.
Thank you.
