All I can say is THANK YOU! When I started this business in 2017 I never could have imagined what it would become. Tonight I was honored to receive a Wedding Choice Award for Best Alterations. This award goes to all of the amazing brides, bridesmaids, moms, flowergirls and everyone else I have had the pleasure of working with. You are the reason I get to do what I love every single day. Thank you everyone for your support over the last 2 years.

"I literally cannot say enough good things about Gloria, I could honestly go on all day about her and the amazing work she does. However, I will try and keep it short and explain why Gloria is the only person in Iowa who you should let alter your wedding dress.
First off, I have a background in bridal, so I knew when I brought my 3000 dollar couture gown, I needed to find the best person to alter it or else it would not have been worth the money I spent on it. This was a one of a kind gown that required some very specific alterations to make it perfect. So, I began my search and my search brought me to Gloria and I am so thankful it did.
My dresses needed bra cups, shortened shoulder straps, taken in on the sides, and I needed a comb added to my veil. These things were done perfectly, but it was the extra things she did that went beyond that. I wanted to wear spanks with my dress, just to make sure I was comfy and confident for the 14 plus hours I was wearing my wedding dress. However, my dress had a super low razor back, so Gloria found some lining that we attempted to sew into my dress. However, it didn’t work for me and she took it out after my second alterations appointment and the back of my dress was still perfect. If another seamstress had done this, there would have been holes from the stitching. She brilliantly came up with the idea of snapping them in, after we realized sewing them in would create problems throughout my wedding day. Who could have thought of that? Only someone with Gloria’s experience. She also made last minutes changes exactly one week before my wedding because I needed to find a different pair of shoes. Most places would have said that is too short of time to make changes, you will have to take it as is. Not Gloria, she took that time and put in the extra hours over the holidays (my wedding was dec. 28th, 2019) to make sure my dress was more than perfect. Last thing, my dress was 35 plus pounds because of all the beading, so the bustle on my dress had to be done correctly. It took a solid 10 minutes to determine the best way we should bustle it. We talked through multiple ways of bustling and arrived at the best one. Most stores (and I know this because I have worked in bridal) would just told you there is one way to bustle your dress and you do not get a choice. We found the best way to bustle it up so I could dance the night away, and boy did I. It held all night. A friend of mine had a similar dress to mine, who had to hold her train during her first dance with her husband because the weight of it, the bustle to fall out. It was not done correctly. Could you imagine having the first dance with your significant other, and you have to hold your wedding dress train? That would be a disaster. It is things like this, you will be thankful for when you take your dress to Gloria’s. It is not just the job she does. It is the price, too. I was a bride on a budget, and the one thing I splurged on was my wedding dress, cause I did get a substantial discount. My alterations with Gloria were half what every other places was going to charge me for the same work. I even priced out a my friend’s place where she got her alterations done on her wedding dress, this person is known for doing a very good job and alters wedding dresses for high end designers for fashion shows in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and they would have charged my exactly double for the same work and $75 just to saw a comb in my veil. That’s dumb. My veil was only $100 off Etsy.

So, long story short, go nowhere but Glorious Alterations.
