Your struggle does not define you. When you're in the thick of it, it can feel that you are your mental health diagnosis/condition. But when you take action, and engage in healing, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders can just be a part of the tapestry of your life.

They hold on to us tightly. They need us. This feeling can feel be warm, tender and incredibly fulfilling. But it can also feel overwhelming with the heaviness of the responsibility, the grip of need. If you feel this mix of emotions about motherhood, welcome to the party. We are in this together.

One of the most common motherhood stressors I see are problems with partners. Sometimes the relationship just needs some tender love and care, but on the other end of the spectrum the problems are deep, there's too much damage to recover. Separation and divorce change the shape of motherhood and we are here to help you with that journey.

We crave connection… it’s the healing our hearts desire. Both moms and our littles crave connection at a deep level. When we are in our darkest parenting moments our guilt and shame thirst for connection to heal. We may need space first to simmer down, but coming back and reconnecting is not only important for our kiddos, it nurtures our hearts too. So remember that repair time is always available.

Meet Marianne! She's been working in the field supporting women for over 20 years. We are so grateful to have a therapist with such wisdom and experience on our team. She is a firm believer that you are the authority on your life, and her style is to partner with you while you address your challenges.
A message from Marianne: “I believe that every person possesses the solutions they are searching for; they just need someone to help them “mine” the answers. I’ll challenge you and your thoughts by asking questions and offering varying perspectives while at the same time respecting you as the expert on your own life. I provide support, not judgment, as you work towards finding your own answers.”

Mild mood changes are common during pregnancy and postpartum, and a staggering 1 in 5 women experience more significant symptoms of anxiety and depression. Often when a woman is diagnosed with a PMAD (Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders) after the baby is born, it is easy to look back and see the symptoms actually started to creep in during pregnancy. Know that you are not alone if your mood is stealing your joy. Help is available so you can experience more peace during this precious time.

Motherhood Supported started because in my practice I saw the same common areas where life turns out a little more complex than planned. It’s hard to find a mother who hasn’t run into one or more of these areas of stress and pain. You or someone you know may benefit from adding a therapist to your tribe... we are here- explore more with our✨ link in bio.✨
Motherhood worry is real. Am I doing a good job? Is this enough? The questions that swirl in our mind usually relate back to some version of “are they going to be okay?” Rather than push this worry away, welcome it in. It’s 100% normal and okay. Consider a therapist to help you sort through built up feelings because sometimes you just need someone to witness all the worry.
