It’s been a minute but I have to post my son’s birthday cake! I can’t believe my little boy is 6 years old! He specifically requested a “mom’s famous Sawyer size Oreo cake” 😂 so, that’s what he got!

I got commissioned to put together this beautiful four layer almond cake with whipped almond buttercream for Jace’s 10th birthday and can I just say, I’m definitely a boy mom myself because I LOVE how it turned out!

I can’t wait for the birthday boy to see it tomorrow!

Because she deserved a permanent spot on this page. 😍

I was asked to commission this cake for a large church in downtown McKinney for a retirement celebration.

They gave me creative freedom and I had a blast designing this!

Her husband commissioned me to make his wife’s birthday cake again this year! I always love it becasue it’s always a surprise to her.

I met Meryl when I first launched my business 3 years ago! She is beautiful, smart, talented, beyond sweet and the best mama. And I mean, our sons have the same name, so, we were meant to be friends lol

I love seeing their journey, watching their family grow, their love grow, and all because she loved my at the 😂

I baked her a 3 layer gluten free chocolate mini cake, with vanilla buttercream, hand painted gold edge and beautiful flowers that truly reminded me of Meryl’s spirit.

Still swooning over this amazing cake that Happy Party Co commissioned me to do for one of their clients! So sweet and delicate for a beautiful 1st birthday girl.

A little Saturday magic this morning.

What better way to end week than with a gorgeous cake duo and pizza on the way?

I cannot think of one. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Who doesn’t need a little pampas and marbling in their lives?!

I’m not going to lie to you, some days this small business life is hard.

Today was one of those days, up since 530 am with the little, then worked a full day job, picked up the little man, did mom and kid stuff, bedtime did not go well hahaha of course and then to decorate this cake.

It’s been a day. It’s been a week. It’s been a year.

It gets hard and tough and there are plenty of moments I wonder if it’s all worth it, but when the day is over the answer is always yes, it’s always worth it.

So, go after your dreams, no matter how long it takes or how slow the progress. Do it. It’s never too late!

I really loved putting this cake together.

I say that a lot, but this cake was something special to me! My son helped pick out the flowers that we put on it and helped pick where they went and honestly, it was such an amazing experience to do this WITH him.

He had so much patience with me while I tried to have patience with him 😂 to watch him take steps back, look at the cake and then make a decision on where he would want to put something, man….to see how his mind works always blows me away.

Plus, this was for such an amazing woman’s daughter. She has been such a die hard cheerleader for me since day 1 and I’m always beyond grateful when she puts in an order!

I hope this brings a little magic to your day!

What kind of cake did you have for your 30TH birthday?? .

It’s been quite the minute for me to be on here….sometimes in life we just need a break.

Since starting this business two years ago I have learned quite a lot. Mostly, that people assume that because you’re a business owner you don’t deserve to take a step back and take care of yourself.

I fell into this mentality more times than I’d like to admit…life isn’t just about the hustle, the money, the recognition…life for me is about joy, peace, passion, love and just doing the best I can everyday.

And you know what? There is nothing wrong with that, even if it upsets the world.

We don’t need to put a show on for the world or social media and smile all the time because guess what? It doesn’t matter lol I bake because I love it and it brings me infinite amounts of joy to bake and share that with you guys.

I don’t want to get burnt out and I don’t want to start hating what I do. So, sometimes we need some peace and disconnect.

Thank you for always supporting me and loving me and being understanding when my answer has to be no or I have to take time for myself or readjust my business. You are all the best.

Today, this is my view, a large chocolate chip cookie order and it’s this that reminds me that it was my moms chocolate chip cookies that made me fall in love with baking when I was little.
