Just a reminder that Bay Community Support Services, Inc. will be closed in observance of the New Year on Monday, January 2nd. We will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, January 3rd.

In observation of the Holidays, Bay-CSS will be open for a half day on Friday, December 23 and closed on Monday, December 26 for Christmas. Likewise, bay-CSS will be open for a half day on Friday, December 30 and closed on Monday, January 2nd.

As the weather begins to get colder, we wanted to remind you of our inclement weather policy. Bay-CSS follows the schedule of the school system in its county. For example, if the Anne Arundel schools are closed, Bay-CSS in Anne Arundel County is closed. Similarly, if there is a two hour delay, Bay-CSS will also be operating at a two-hour delay.

We are thankful for each and every one of you and wish you the happiest of holidays!

"Tell me more about a PRN..."

PRN/On-Call – employment on an intermittent basis to work to fill in for absences and staffing vacancies. Employment is on an “as needed” basis without a definite schedule or work location.

• PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
• PRN employees will be required to work 20 hours/month, to include 2 weekend shifts.
• PRN employees will be required to work 1 major winter and summer holiday shift.
• PRN employees will be removed from the PRN availability list if inactive for 60 days.
• PRN employees will be removed from the PRN availability list if 3 consecutive shifts are declined or 3 consecutive call-outs.
• PRN employees will be required to speak with their Regional Operations Manager (ROM) monthly by the 12th to confirm availability for the next month.
• PRN employees must give two weeks’ notice for any changes to work availability.
• PRN employees will be trained in all programs in their assigned county. Employees may be trained in other counties if requested.
• PRN employees must keep their contact information current.
• PRN employees will receive a $1 shift differential when called in to work an on-call (unscheduled) shift.
