According to a report published online by the Guttmacher Institute, "Despite Bans, Number of Abortions in the United States Increased in 2023." These findings estimate that over a million children were killed last year alone -- an 11% increase since 2020. The actual number of abortions is most likely higher as states under report, and several states-including Maryland-are not required to report the number of babies aborted. Being a dad can mean many things- a protector, teacher, role model and friend. We know that being a dad can also be challenging. Our LifeSense class, "Strong Fathers", can help you be your best for your kids. Life on display at the Olympics!! Egyptian fencer Nada Hafez took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy after competing seven months pregnant!

Not only did she accomplish her dreams with child but she gave acknowledgment of the baby as a human person being with her on the podium 💚🤰💚

August is National Breastfeeding Month! We are happy to offer our popular online LifeSense class, "Deciding Whether to Breastfeed" on Wednesday, August 7 at 10AM. We have been so blessed by our partner churches this summer! Last week were pleased to welcome a group of summer interns from Mid Atlantic Community Church to our Annapolis clinic. The interns, accompanied by MACC staff member Jill Spann, toured the clinic and learned about our free services and how we partner with the faith community to serve women, save lives and share Jesus. We thank God for our partner churches like the MACC who stand with us for LIFE!

As we wrap up this busy week, we thank God for the many opportunities we were given to minister to the women who called, texted or came through our doors. Each woman, with her unique circumstances, fears and pressures, is loved by her Creator and needs to know of His perfect plan for her and her baby. We pray for each of these precious women, that their time spent here and the words of truth spoken in love will draw each one closer to God, resulting in lives changed and saved.

Wellspring Life Ministry is seeking a full-time Office Manager who will work with our team in administration of the three ministry office locations. Candidate must be a professing Christian in agreement with and upholding our Mission, Vision and Values, with two to three years experience required in office management. Must be have a ministry mindset, be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to work independently.
Working at Wellspring Life Ministry is like serving on a mission field: we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we serve and pray for our clients and our community, speak the truth in love, and share the hope found only in the Gospel.

Our friends from Mosaic Christian Church were at it again last week as they came to serve at our Annapolis clinic. Even on a hot summer day, these servant hearted folks (even some littles!) did some much needed gardening, cleaning and power washing. We are grateful for partnership and their efforts to keep our clinic a beautiful, welcoming place for our clients. Thank you, Mosaic!

We begin this new week thanking and praising God for lives saved through His work in this Ministry! Recently we heard from 2 former clients: Andrea* who came to us last year seeking an abortion, too frightened to tell her parents she was pregnant, and Toni, who we saw in our Bowie clinic nearly 2 decades ago as she too was considering an abortion. Although each young woman came to us with completely different circumstances, both were met with kindness, compassion and the truth spoken in love. Both Andrea and Toni contacted us this week, just to say "thank you" for being there when they needed someone to come alongside them offering help and hope. Andrea's baby boy will be 3 months old tomorrow, and Toni's son recently graduated high school! We are so grateful to God for His saving grace and mercy, and to all those who partner with us in saving lives and impacting generations.

Life- the first right that our forefathers said was ours. Our right to life comes from God Himself and is unalienable. Yet, since 1973, an estimated 65 million preborn children have lost their God-given right to experience life. We pray that on this Independence Day, our nation would turn from celebrating abortions to celebrating birthdays...that each and every child, born and preborn, would know Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Grace Baptist Church wrapped up their week of "Grace Gives" by delivering a delicious, much appreciated lunch for our volunteers and staff! Along with treating us to an amazing meal, members of Grace Baptist blessed us by praying for the ministry, our clients, and our volunteers and staff. We are truly blessed by our partner churches like Grace Baptist, who join in mission with us as we seek to shine the light of Jesus in our communities.

As we begin a new week, and a new month, our hearts are drawn to pray for the women we will minister to in our offices in Annapolis, Bowie and Severna Park. We pray that women who are seeking an abortion will find us instead. We pray for many opportunities to speak the truth in love, to give help and hope no matter their circumstances. And most of all, we pray to share the love of Jesus through every interaction whether in person, on the phone or through a text.
