A pontoon, capsized due to sudden weather conditions in the area. National Weather Service had issued a Special Marine Warning at 3 p.m. Sunday. According to Sean Sublette, Meteorologist depending on the size of the craft, a 34 knot (39 mph) gust can capsize a vessel.

Boaters saved, boat not so lucky.
A fire broke out aboard a 32-foot classic picnic-style boat in the Severn River just after 4pm Sunday, causing the boat to sink.
Black smoke was visible a long distance away.
Someone aboard the boat called 911 and reported the passengers were getting onto another boat.
Fire boats from Annapolis and Anne Arundel County along with Natural Resources Police and the Coast Guard all responded.
Thankfully no one was injured.
TowBoatUS Annapolis had the sunken boat refloated by early the next morning.
