Our Woman’s Club is having a fund raising luncheon with a purse auction. I made several paper purses, using a retired SU die and papers, that I stuffed with sweets. Any proceeds will be donated. I hope the ladies like these…
We had a close friend who lost his battle to cancer. Such a horrible disease and he was a wonderful person. I made this “in memorium card” for all the donors names of the bench we bought for the golf course he lived on. It’s made with retired product, but these are the reasons why I buy and hold onto some product. I wish it would be for more joyous occasions. It’s a 5x7 card, but still too small to fit all the names. RIP Kenny! We’ll be thinking of you!
I’m a movie fan and just in the last couple of weeks I watched “The Whale”. It stars Brendan Frasier as an obese and recluse teacher. The previews say it’s about a teacher trying to re-establish a relationship with his daughter; but, it is so much more than that. It’s about loss and grief and how we deal with it. I cried from the beginning to the end of this movie and have had it on my mind since I watched it. This is real life and well worth the time. Have you watched something that has touched you the same way?
I am a match everything kind of gal. So, in my card making I try to create a card to relate to the “event”. For example, my Womens club will be having a purse auction and I created thank you cards to coordinate with the purse. What do you think?
I would keep books, arts and crafts and Netflix.
What would you keep?
I have misplaced my dies so many times while using them, I finally broke down and bought two magnetic bowls to keep one by my work surface and one by my cut and emboss machine. This small investment has saved me a great deal of time.
I have been blessed over the years to accumulate good people in my life. Every day I am grateful for those around me! What are you grateful for?
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

STAMPIN’ UP Quiet Meadow Bndle, Comfort and Hope (ret) stamp, Scalloped Contour dies
Very vanilla, soft succulent, photo paper card stock
Crumb cake, soft suede, soft succulent, polished pink, pale papaya inks
Coastal weave EF (ret)
Grunge card, photo paper for flowers and blender pens to color, dry emboss soft succulent card stock. Water penned soft succulent on the envelope flowers. I intentionally put the greeting on the left side on the inside. I don’t like completely blank pages. Even the back of the card looks cute. Updating a credit line to Clair Daly as I cased her Quiet Meadow collage stamping technique. Sorry for the delay, took me awhile to find her posting again.
Artistically Inked bundle & Sending You Thoughts for sentiment
I die cut the floral spray twice on the precision base plate, glued two layers for added dimension. Used alcohol ink pens dark red, light melon mambo and dark lovely lipstick (ret) on the vellum and dry embossed with Parisian Floral folder (ret) with ink side down. Heat embossed the HB with versa mark and white embossing powder and added bow using the black glitter organdy ribbon. Used dimensional on the HB banner only, other layers flat. Inside I used memento black for the sentiment and second generation magenta madness on the water color mark. I think this is a very striking look.
Hand-Penned Suite, Color and Contour dies and Just Jade woven ribbon.
