In 2015 I started painting helmets with rattle can in a 5x8 camping tent in my backyard. Took a break for a couple years and picked it up again with a bigger vision of 89 Design while my wife was pregnant with my son Bentley. 9 years and 103 helmets later, I’ve painted my first helmet for my son. Dreams do come true and life comes full circle. I can’t express the emotions something so small has brought today.

Well 2024 has been full steam ahead. The off season rush has been insane this year and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given to put out some awesome pieces.
With the work load starting to thin out, I have room to take in a few more helmets this month. Turn around time is approximately 4-6 weeks right now (rough estimate) and pricing ranges from $400-$800 depending on design and colors. I’m a “simple is clean” guy for the most part so when it comes to super intricate designs, im probably not your guy but if interested you can always send me some ideas you have and we can go from there.
If you’d like to get a helmet done and the process started or even if you have any questions, please reach out to me via messenger or by phone and I’ll get back to you asap. I do have a day job and the helmet stuff takes up 90% of the free time I have so please bear with me and I’ll get you taken care of!
Once again I appreciate everyone that’s trusted me with their helmet(s) and let me provide a cool product for a more affordable cost.

Well life has been absolutely insane. This stuff became work and not so much a hobby. Mental health and family had to become a priority and helmet work had to take a back seat for awhile but I’m happy to say I’m back in motion. Picking away at work as fast as I can as this is not my day job and I’m a one man band!
