Race recap for the entire Winter Nationals!

33Y sport mod
I ran 4 of the 7 nights and struggled most of the nights to find the speed we needed. Our only really good night was when we started 21st and ran up to 8th. I just couldn’t get the balance I was looking for in the car for the track conditions. It was a great smooth track every night but I struggle to find traction on slick tracks.

Sport Compact
I got the opportunity to run Tim Whitehead’s W30 car and we ran all 7 nights. I had never ran one before so it was a pretty steep learning curve. Of the 7 nights, there were 6 different winners with us being the only car to repeat with two main event wins! The car was fast every night but we had 2 races we did not finish. All in all it was extremely fun!!!

Practiced the sport mod tonight. Ran 3 sessions and made some pretty drastic changes. I feel like it was an improvement. Tomorrow we will see!

Night 4 of winternats was definitely exciting. Sport mod was terrible. I am going through the car to find out what is wrong.

Sport compact was the exciting part. Started 8th in the main and quickly moved up to 4th and a few laps in the steering wheel came off! I grabbed the steering shaft and then got hit very hard and rode the back strait wall and spun to a stop on the infield. Put the wheel back on and restarted around 20th and came back to 7th. The wheel in the pic was the right front and it held air until we were in the pits talking and it just lost air right in front of us as we were standing there talking! Close one!

After the struggles of the first two nights, night 3 was a huge turn around! We started 4th in the heat and picked up the win. Then I drew starting spot #2 for the main. I was able to set sail right from the green flag and led every lap for the win! I am so happy and blessed to be able to find victory lane again! It’s been a minute. Lol

Tonight we will be back with the W30 and the 33Y sport mod.

Final adjustments being made for the first sport mod main event of the 2023 IMCATV Winter Nationals ..

Leading up to IMCATV Winter Nationals I have been thanking a different sponsor each day. Today I have to thank Doug at Gordies Speed Shop. Since moving back to Yuma, Doug has helped me quite a bit. His shop surprised me with the amount of dirt track parts he carries in stock. Plus he is the local Hoosier dealer. Go see him while in town for the big races!!

I’m ready for double duty at the IMCATV Winter Nationals!

Today I want to thank Harris Auto Racing. While not technically one of my sponsors, they are the builder of our car. I have to say this car is the most comfortable car I have ever raced. It is smooth and consistent and easy to drive. It responds to changes well and I must admit it pretty darn fast too. I can’t wait to get this season started at the IMCATV Winter Nationals!

Experience is a plus, but willing to train. The job is very demanding and you must be willing to be on call 24/7, guaranteed 1 weekend a month off! Commission based work; paid weekly. Must be able to pass full drug screening, and background check. **CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS! **CDL is a plus!!! ** CDL holders will have opportunity for growth with training.

Arizona Speedweeks is gonna be HUGE, as of 6am this morning we have 301 pre entries for the 2023 Playa Azul Seypet Resorts IMCATV Winter Nationals presented by YUMA INSURANCE, INC and RV World Recreation Vehicle Center.

Pre-Registration is open NOW and is FREE until 12/15/2022.

All drivers registered by 12/15/22 will be eligible for drawings that include Gas Cards, Cocopah Speedway apparel and much more!

After 12/15/22 the registration fee jumps to $100.
Pre-Registered drivers will also be eligible to win tons of contingency prizes that will be announced in the coming weeks.

Please remember when filling out the registration form, that you will need to put in 4 DIFFERENT number/letter combinations for it to accept your registration form. (i.e. 14, 14X, 14XX, 14Q).
