9/14/24 09:00- SFMD is closely monitoring the fire and working with state and federal agencies responding.

U.S. Forest Service-Tonto National Forest fire crews have made good progress on the Siphon Fire.
Residents east of Mountain View Road, west of the Tonto National Forest, between Broadway Road to Lost Dutchman State Park are now returned to "READY- Prepare Now" status.

Fire crews will work on opening SR 88 today and containing it.

‼️The following Pinal County communities are in READY Status today:
* Areas east of Mountain View Road, west of the Tonto National Forest, between Broadway Road to Lost Dutchman State Park.
* Areas just south of Tonto National Forest in the Gold Canyon area, and the communities between East Broadway Avenue to East Southern Avenue, between South Geronimo Road and South Barkley Road.
Current Road Closures: SR 88 (Apache Trail) is closed past Lost Dutchman State Park. Tortilla Flat, Canyon Lake Marina, and Lost Dutchman State Park are all closed.

Please continue to monitor all social media and websites for updates, as well as the emergency alert systems.
