Underground Utility Installation and Excavation
The new Tempe Firehouse got some gas sleeving today. 60 feet of gas sleeve trenched, sleeve installed, shaded, backfilled with compaction all in one day. Ends are left open so Southwest Gas can come in and run the gas line.

A tip for your Tuesday. When digging in the dirt, buy soccer socks and fold them over to stop the dirt and rock from getting in.

Splice day with SRP to pull power for Take 5 in phoenix.
1 in conduit for telecommunications in Pardise Valley needed to take a little dip to get under the fence footers for a tear down/rebuild.
The backhoe is ripping up some rocks in Gold Canyon today.
Road crossing today in Apache Junction on Southern. The views are beautiful but the traffic was busy. We called in an extra flagger today to keep it safe.
3 poles in 2 days in Campe Verde and Kingman. Thompson Digging is on the road again.

Two 3inch conduits run from the transformer to a 600 amp panel with two risers installed.
Some days are two digger type days, where both Mr. and Mrs. are running machinery.
This is what a quarter mile of pipe looks like. We installed 4”gas sleeving for a Southwest Gas main line and 5 service runs for a new strip mall in Tolleson. We also ran 2000 feet of electrical conduit in a joint trench.

Commercial gas sleeve for an assisted living facility in Cave Creek.
We traveled all the way to Arizona City today to install underground electric. Bringing APS power to a new home and new shared well, along with a jbox installation. We will return to dig the waterline trench.
Swung by Casa Grande on the way back and completed a good portion underground electric for another new home with APS power.
Power pole install today. No worries if you only have a small entrance. We can squeeze into small spaces.
We have both 20’ and 25’ power poles in stock and ready to be installed.
Breaking ground in our newest project at a future Take 5 oil change. We hand dug a splice pit to abandon this switch box. This one was a little more difficult because the entire ground was slurry filled and we couldn’t use machinery. Challenge accepted!
Slurry pour day. We filled in our road crossing trench as well as the transformer pit.

A big box company quoted this couple 3x what our company charges. We showed up for the job within the given time frame and we backfilled the same day so that they did not have an open trench throughout their yard because of our preferred status with SRP.

New culvert install! We ripped out and disposed of an old culvert and installed a new one. The new culvert was covered and compacted.
