Thank you Angels on Patrol!

Our officers came into contact with a individual needing assistance. The male stated he was asking for money to get a bus ticket back to California to be with his mother who is struggling with her battle with cancer. Officers were able to verify his situation and because of the Angels on Patrol program, we were able to purchase a bus ticket for him to get to California to be with his mother.

We are very appreciative of the professional partnerships we have made that continue to best help our community members. Thank you Angels on Patrol!

Rural Metro Fire Advises That You Turn Around, Don’t Drown
San Tan Valley, Florence, Queen Creek!!

TURN AROUND - DON't DROWN!!!

Each year more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other severe weather hazard. The Centers for Disease Control report that more than half of all flood- related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous floodwater. The next highest percentage of flood-related deaths is due to walking into or near floodwaters.

“People underestimate the force and power of water,” Rural Metro Fire Central Arizona says. “Too many people ignore barriers and walk or drive into flooded roadways and walkways.”
Rural Metro Fire encourages everyone to be safe and follow The National Weather Service’s warning message, “Turn Around, Don't Drown®.”

Follow these safety rules:

• If flooding occurs, get to higher ground – stay away from flood-prone areas, including dips, low
spots, valleys, ditches, washes, etc.
• Avoid flooded areas or those with rapid water flow – do not attempt to cross a flowing stream, it
takes only six inches of fast-flowing water to sweep you off your feet

• Don’t allow children to play near high water, storm drains or ditches – hidden dangers could lie
beneath the water

• Flooded roads could have significant damage hidden by floodwaters – NEVER drive through
floodwaters or on flooded roads. Most vehicles can float away in only two feet of water.

• Do not camp or park your vehicle along streams and washouts, particularly when threatening
conditions exist

• Be especially cautious when driving at night as it is harder to recognize flood dangers

• Monitor NOAA Weather Radio or your local media for vital weather-related information

More information on flood safety is available through the National Weather Service, noaa.gov/floods, or the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes, flash.org.

Arizona deploys shipping containers in border wall 08/13/2022

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey Closing Gaps in Border Wall near Yuma citing inaction by the Federal Government.

From Oct 2021 to June 2022, the Yuma sector saw...... 235,230.... migrant aka illegal immigrant encounters....coming across the Border.

Illegal immigrants are crossing our International Border as easily as we cross state lines. When apprehended by local authorities and law enforcement, if Border Patrol does not arrive within an hour, often times, these illegal immigrants are simply let go on US Soil.

Due to the lack of Federal Action and repeated requests for the Government to fulfill it's duty on the International Border with Mexico, Governor Doug Ducey issued an Executive Order, authorizing the The Dept of Emergency Services to close the gaps in Arizona's southern border wall immediately.

The Order stated in part, "Based on information gathered by the Az Dept of Emergency Management Services and the Arizona National Guard, the Federal Government has failed to protect our Great State, which has resulted in imminent danger to Arizona and its citizens, and Whereas, as Governor of Arizona, it is necessary to and appropriate to protect the lives and safety of the citizens of Arizona."

The gaps are currently being filled with shipping containers in an effort to stop the continual flood of drugs, cartel members, illegal immigrants, and human smuggling which is currently at an all time high.

Arizona is now taking action and filling gaps on the border with 60 double-stacked shipping containers, reinforced with concertina wire at the top.

The shipping containers will reach about 22-feet high. The state-owned, 8,800-pound, 9-by-40-feet containers will be linked together and welded shut. The panels of the border wall constructed during the Trump administration are 30-feet high.

Arizona deploys shipping containers in border wall Arizona began moving in shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall near the southern Arizona farming community of Yuma on Friday, with ...
