The museum houses a collection of memorabilia, artifacts, art work and minerals, along with an impressive collection of mining equipment, some of which was donated by Phelps Dodge. Our 12 acre site is home to the Apacheland Barn and the Elvis Memorial Chapel, buildings that once were at the Apacheland Movie Ranch.

On this day in 1955, the TV show “Cheyenne” made its debut on the ABC network. Lasting for 7 seasons, the show starred Clint Walker as the character Cheyenne Bodie. Clint also had several starring roles in feature films during and after his TV show. It was during the filming of one of these motion pictures that he made a special trip to Apacheland Movie Studio for a pre-arranged celebrity appearance. You can learn more about the fascinating history of Apacheland Movie Studio on the grounds of our museum. It's here that you'll discover the original Chapel and Barn from the once-famous movie set. So come on out and explore the Superstition Mountain Lost Dutchman Museum! We’re open Wednesdays through Sundays from 9am to 3pm.

Elvis is in the house! The little white chapel on our museum grounds was once part of the Apacheland Movie Ranch, a complete frontier town constructed as the setting for dozens of movies and TV westerns. The chapel was featured prominently in the 1969 movie “Charro!”, starring Elvis Presley. This photogenic structure is now known as the Elvis Memorial Chapel. So come on by and greet Elvis in person. It's a great photo-op! You'll always find him here at the Superstition Mountain Lost Dutchman Museum! Hours are 9am to 3pm Wednesdays through Sundays.
