US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 75, Apollo Beach, FL
We are a service organization founded on the four cornerstones of the Auxiliary: Member Services, Recreational Boating Safety, Operation and Marine Safety.
Land-based Operations Missions:
Radio Watchstander - Serving as a qualified watchstander at a Coast Guard or Auxiliary facility. SAR Call Out - Search And Rescue call out involving communication facilities. MEP Mission - Surface support for a Marine Environmental Protection mission. Auxiliary Radio Net Mission - Maintaining Coast Guard authorized Auxiliary radio nets. Aids to Navigation Mission-Federal - Servicing federal or private Aids to Navigation. Bridge Administration - Inspecting bridges.
You can't help but admire the spirit of volunteerism from our members who gave up their personal time in the morning on this holiday to represent the Auxiliary and demonstrate our patriotism. We are glad and proud that Flotilla 75 was part of this event!
Wishing you a happy and safe holiday weekend!
Ariel Rodriguez just completed the final training/requisite for US Coast Guard Auxiliary Telecomunication Operator TCO. Went to Boca Raton and met with other members at Flotilla 36.
This training was about Risk Management. Great instructors with tons of experience handling Coast Guard missions and how to assess risk before we perform any of our missions.
Great training to be prepared to serve as TCO in our radio station and support our vessels when they are out on the water on Patrol.
Another amazing day training with US Coast Guard Auxiliary at Air Station Clearwater. So proud and pleased to spend my saturday building skills and learning from US Coast Guard Auxilirist and Active Duty colleagues. All day trainings in operations, radio comunications and leadership. We love to walk around the air base and see some amazing aircraft and history.
Celebrating the new year (and the competition of the annual audit).
Happy from the Coast Guard Academy!
Congratulations to our 2023 Flotilla Commander, Elliott Seda and Vice Commander, Santiago Castrodad, installed on Jan. 26 by Immediate Past Commander, Gary Mull.
We are very proud of this exceptional young man!

Congratulations to the very first Auxiliarists to reach the North Pole aboard a Coast Guard vessel! 🇺🇸 What an exciting mission! On Sept 30, Deborah Heldt Cordone, Auxiliary Public Affairs Specialist 1 and National staff member, along Lyle Schrag, PhD, Auxiliary Chaplain Corps, traveled to the North Pole aboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter HEALY (WAGB-20). Cordone was deployed for the entire four-month mission, leaving from Seattle with HEALY on July 11, to augment in the area of Public Affairs. This is her third mission aboard the icebreaker. Schrag came on board at the beginning of September to augment as the Chaplain, when HEALY had a port call in Dutch Harbor, Alaska (located in the Aleutian Islands). This was his first mission aboard HEALY. Both Auxiliarists are from District 13, where HEALY homeports.

It is important to be very careful when boating during the winter months. One step you can take to be a safe boater is avoiding alcohol. Alcohol greatly increases the effects of cold water shock.
