Welcome to Judah Brass! Mr. Brass, the new 11th grade English teacher at FLA, is known for his passion for American literature. He graduated from Southern Adventist University with a degree in English. Outside the classroom, Mr. Brass enjoys writing, journaling, poetry, fitness, social media, piano, baking, and volleyball. His hobbies include picnics, reading, and photography. He is excited to inspire students to think critically and is dedicated to viewing the world through a compassionate lens.

Doug Schwersinske is retiring after an amazing 42 year career with AdventHealth, the last 14 of which were spent as the Food Service Director in the FLA cafeteria which is under the management of AdventHealth. We are sad to see him go but wish him all the best. Thank you, Doug, for everything! Enjoy your well-deserved retirement (and birthday).

The FLA summer office hours will begin next week: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm (closed Fridays). We will be closed June 19 as well as July 1-5. Please plan accordingly should you need to stop by for any reason. Have a wonderful summer!

We are very proud of our graduates and the hard work they put in over their high school career. The Class of 2024 received $9,726,760 in scholarships from Seventh-day Adventists Colleges and Universities throughout the United States. This number does not include the many scholarships from non-Adventist colleges and universities that were awarded to our graduates! Four of our graduates were offered full-tuition scholarships from our Southern Union’s Southern Adventist University: Nadia Cortes, Aiden Forbes, Henrique Pontes, and Kyle Simpson. Congratulations!
