It's fire season at JCO. Lots of awesome videos coming in the next few days.

JCO is expanding!

Next month we begin building out an additional 10,000 square feet of shop space, more than doubling in size to meet the demand for Central Florida's highest quality emergency vehicles.

We are looking to add technicians of all skill levels to our amazing team.

Installation helpers

• Strip vehicles for Installation.

• Assemble products for Installation

• Install wiring harnesses, partitions, and various electronic components

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Previous automotive accessory, mechanical, or electrical experience preferred. Willing to train self motivated candidates

Installation Technicians

• Install and wire various electronic components in a neat and servicable fashion to include lighting and siren controllers, in car video systems, mobile routers, and alarms.

• Knowledge of proper use of relays, diodes, resistors and other components typically used in 12V applications.

• Ability to diagnose and repair systems currently in service.

• 12V or other automotive experience, EVT, ASE, or other industry certifications preferred. Testing paid for by the company.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Work truck/van conversion technician

• Mounting and installation of truck service bodies and other accessories

• Installation of cabinetry, both prefab and custom, and other accessories

• Installation of lighting and other visual warning devices

• Metal fabrication skills, welding, cutting, bending preferred. All equipment provided.

Shop hours are M-Th 7-5 F 7-11

Medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance available.

This week 4 of our technicians received their L1 police vehicle installation technician certification or recertification. Our 8 technicians now hold 9 EVT certifications Including the L1, Shop Management, Fire Apparatus Electrical, and Ambulance Electrical in addition to several ASE and manufacturers certifications to include Whelen Master Technician. We are truly ready to service any vehicle in your fleet.

JCO is once again hiring due to rapid growth

We are a leading provider of emergency response vehicles and equipment, and we are seeking an experienced Emergency Vehicle Upfitter to join our team. As an Emergency Vehicle Upfitter, you will be responsible for installing and customizing equipment in emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

Responsibilities:

Install emergency lighting and siren systems, including light bars, spotlights, and other accessories

Install communication and radio systems, including antennas and radios

Install video and surveillance systems, including dash cameras and body cameras

Customize storage solutions to fit the needs of specific vehicles and departments

Ensure that all installations meet safety standards and regulations
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with installed equipment
Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in emergency vehicle upfitting
Knowledge of emergency vehicle equipment and systems
Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations
Experience with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and wrenches
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
