The Victor Valley College Regional Public Safety Training Center houses the Criminal Justice Program consisting of academic degree oriented courses, a POST Modular Law Enforcement Academy and a state certified Correctional Academy.

Our CJ 145 Criminal Investigation course held their final class this semester, this week, by putting on a mock trial. The class was separated into teams to cover the prosecution, the defense, and evidence presentation. Great job our students and instructor Stacey Rangel

MULTI-DISCIPLINE DAY SPRING 2022
What a great VVC public safety student training day and high school outreach event.
Over 500 students from 13 area high schools converged on the Regional Public Safety Training Center in Apple Valley California to attend the Spring Multi-Discipline Day.
VVC nursing, Fire, EMS and Criminal Justice students put out fires, attended “injured students”, made “arrests” and traveled around our training center in ambulances, fire trucks and police vehicles responding to field practicles held throughout the day.
A special Ten Year Anniversary Celebration commemorating the opening of the Regional Public Safety Training Center was also held today.
GREAT Day at the training center. Thanks to all Victor Valley College Staff, Administration, Students, Public Safety Sector Vendors and area school students and personnel who made this day the success it was. Great job.

It has been a busy few weeks at Victor Valley College Criminal Justice, after semester started.
Our POST Level III Academy has had a full week of first aid training, we concluded an intense format Laws of Arrest class in five quick days and are now in the middle of our first CJ30 fi****ms class of the semester.

VVC Multi-Discipline Day  was held on Thursday, November 18th. VVC Students from the Fire Technology, EMS and Law Enforcement Programs demonstrated their respective discipline skills in front of 350 high school students representing 13 area high schools.
Law-enforcement, EMS and Fire Departments converged on the Regional Public Safety Training Center to actively participate and support this event which is held twice per year and showcases this State of the Art Training Center and the Public Safety Students who train here.

As the Criminal Justice Director, My office is located exactly 11 feet from our state of the art indoor firing range and shares the same wall with our Mat room.
I literally get to be in the middle of our physical skills activities and love every minute of it. This is a great time in our semester for both our instructors and our students.
Registration is now open for our winter and spring 2022 classes on web advisor on a tiered basis. Different groups of students are registering beginning now until when classes start.

Great Academy training day and paramedic graduation at Victor Valley College Regional Public Safety Training Center.
Our CJ 80 POST Level III Academy underwent Vehicle Operation Training today, while Instructor Stacey Rangel conducted a Lab Day for her CJ 67 Crime Scene Investigation Course.
EMS Class 40 held their Paramedic graduation also at the training center. Congratulations to them.

A memorial event was held on September 11, 2021 on the lake at Victor Valley College to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the attack on our country by terrorists.
San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus joined VVC President Daniel Walden, Community leaders and members of the public in memorializing those who have lost their lives on 9/11 and in the subsequent years since.

In observance of Labor Day, Victor Valley College will be closed on Monday, September 6th.

Please consider joining members of the Associated Student Body this Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, Sept 4, 2021 & Sunday Sept 5, beginning @ 6:00 A.M., in setting up 3,000 Flags of Honor. This process will take 8-10 hours.
The flags provided courtesy of the Victor Valley College ASB, will be placed on the lawn adjacent to the VVC campus library, to remember and honor all the victims of September 11, 2001. Attached to each flag is the handwritten name of (1) individual.
The High Desert “United We Stand” 9/11 Memorial located in front of the VVC Library was designed by VVC student Joan Sowinski and funded by many supporters in the High Desert Community.
All are welcome, bring a friend or family to prepare or set a row of 20 flags or more.

Victor Valley Criminal Justice Department supports all students wishing to enter the field of Criminal Justice. From Forensics, Report Writing, Legal Aspects of Evidence and Introduction to Criminal Investigation to running three Academies at our Regional Public Safety Training Center we have choices for you. We run 29 Criminal Justice Classes each semester. You can take a class, get a certificate and get a job, or work on an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice transferrable to local four year colleges.
