Our Recreation staff is BUBBLE-ing up with excitement about tomorrow’s Bubble Party! Come out and join us on Friday, July 26 at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater from 12:00pm-1:00pm and enjoy bubble machines, and bubble wands. We will be giving out free mini bubble wands to anyone who wants one. Can’t wait to see you there!

⚠️ PARK CLOSURE ⚠️

Starting Monday, July 1, Lenny Brewster Sports Center will be closed to the public in preparation for the Town’s upcoming Freedom Festival event. The park will reopen to the public on the day of the event, Thursday, July 4, from 2:00pm-9:00pm. Come out and join us in celebrating Independence Day!

DIVE into fitness with our Aqua Zumba class! Aqua Zumba blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance for one pool party you should not miss! Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles. Plus, there is less impact on your joints, so you can really let loose! This class meets at the Civic Center Park Aquatic Center on weekday mornings.

This is the second race of our three competitive running series, we encourage runners to participant in all 3 races of the running series races, each race will include a collective 1/3 piece of a puzzle medal upon finish, to complete the puzzle you must finish all three races throughout this year (Bunny Run, Firecracker run, and Turkey run), you don’t want to miss out!

Have you heard? The Town of Apple Valley Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a California Department of Housing and Community Development’s Community Development Block Program (CDBG) Grant to fund a Senior Scholarship Program. Residents of Apple Valley aged 62 and older are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship, which can be used for activities such as Lap Swim, Aqua Zumba, Zumba, Open Pickleball, and Tai Chi. Please refer to the flyer for specific class days.

Registration for this program opened on June 3, 2024, and the program starts on July 1, 2024.

Finding ways to keep kids active can be so KUNG-FUsing. Let us help! Register them for our Iron Tiger Cubs class. Students learn the basics of karate techniques in a fast-paced, high energy environment while having tons of fun. This training will help improve their concentration, hand eye coordination, and reinforce the positive values of the martial arts such as honor, integrity, respect, and discipline. Class meets on Saturdays at Academy of Applied Martial Arts in Apple Valley.

We'll get to the POINTE, our Tiny Tap & Ballet class is one to LEAP into! In this class, students will learn both tap and ballet skills and terminology. This class introduces teamwork, social skills, patience, and discipline. Students in this class will get to express themselves through the art of dance. Help your little ones TUMBLE into success with our Parent & Me Gymnastics class. These classes are co-ed, and designed to stimulate your child's athletic ability and develop self-awareness on a variety of gymnastic equipment. This is a parent-child interactive class for children ages 18 months to 2 years. Class meets at 360 Freestyle Gym on Mondays at 9-9:45am.

Morning Lap Swim is from 5:30am–11:00am Monday through Friday, and 7:30am–9:00am on Saturdays.

Evening Lap Swim is from 4:30pm–7:00pm Monday through Friday, and Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm.

Keep reading, you'll be DRAWN to this class! In our Intro to Cartoon Drawing class students explore the art of cartoon drawing and create their very own cartoon characters and cartoon strips. This is a virtual class that meets online on Thursdays. Show your creativity and join this class!

Don't let your kids push your buttons this summer, sign them up for our Robotics Fun with Robo X1 Camp! Build and program your own ROBO X1 robot, and discover a world of engineering, coding, and creativity. No computer or prior coding knowledge required.

This camp is for ages 7-13 years old, and meets June 17th -21st from 10:00am-11:45am in our North Conference Center.

Bring the family out for a unique camping experience at the Civic Center Park Aquatics Center for our annual Overnight Pool Party! Pool activities include a dive-in movie, open swimming, games, in-water contests, and food trucks.

Sign up before June 8th and pay $10 per person. After June 8th, the fee is $12 per person. The last day to register for this event is June 13th. Check-in for the event is Friday, June 14th at 7:00 pm and check-out is Saturday, June 15th at 8:00am.

If you can’t make it tonight, that’s okay. You can drop off your letter for Santa inside Town Hall and we will make sure we get it to him.
