Yesterday was such a great day and I’m so lucky that I have such a great friend to enjoy it with me!
We packed so much into our day….rode Remy, Guardians of the Galaxy, Soarin and Frozen at EPCOT, explored Dahlia Lounge at our resort, had a educational meeting, then a fun dinner by and finished up at Magic Kingdom with Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear and Tron! So much fun!!!
I’m often asked about the best mode of transportation from the airport to Disney World hotels. Since the magical express went away, I’ve personally relied on Uber/Lift. There are other options but for the cost and convienece this would be my choice. Today I timed and priced it what it was for me. I got off my plane in Orlando at 2:23pm. I got my luggage from baggage claim and was into my Lyft by 2:41 and at the resort by 3:10. It cost $40.89 before tip! Just for future reference and keep in mind that prices fluctuate by time of day!
I get asked this quite a bit! Anyone that books with me pays nothing more than if you book it yourself! Essentially you are already paying for a service that you aren’t receiving when you book yourself!
When I started this journey a year ago my goal was to book 8 vacations (as that was the requirement of my contract)….I have been reflecting and cannot believe how much this has grown for me and how much fun I have doing this! I started out with Disney vacations only and have grown and expanded with bookings and trainings and I can’t wait to keep learning and doing more! I have loved working with some great clients and families! Thank you so much for your support!
Caribbean Beach has always been one of my favorite resorts…love the theming, pool, skyliner access and moderate price point…now it’s getting even better with updated “little mermaid” themed rooms!!!

My blended family of 7 recently branched out from Disney and did a NCL cruise out of New Orleans! It was a 7 day cruise with scheduled stops to Costa Maya, Mexico, Harvest Caye, Belize, Roatan Island in Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico.
Highlights:
🚢The ship (Norwegian Breakaway) was amazing. It was beautiful, there was so much to do on board (ropes course, water slides, basketball court, arcade, kids clubs, casino, shows and more)
🚢 The food - we ate in all main dining rooms (complementary) and the food was so good! We also did two specialty restaurants (Ocean Blue-seafood/steak and Teppanyaki-hibachi) which were also amazing!
🚢Entertainment on board - Howl at the Moon Piano Bar, Syd Norman’s Pourhouse had an amazing band, the Ice Bar, Broadway type shows of Six and Burn the Floor!
🏝️Our stop on Roatan Island….this was simply amazing. We booked our excursion through Explore Roatan and it was prefect. We had a private transfer with tour guide to the sloth and monkey farm and then spent the rest of the day at the most beautiful beach resort in the world Little French Key Resort -LFK
🚢The itinerary in general was great and I highly recommend!
Somethings we didn’t love:
🚢How busy the ship is on days at sea, 4,000 people is a lot! This is not specific to NCL but happens on most cruises. The fight for pool chairs was very cut throat! Lol
🚢 We had to skip our stop at Costa Maya due to weather (wind and waves). This is not a complaint as we understand this happens but we were just ready for a day off the ship!
Something I’m not sure about yet:
🍱 Dining…Norwegian offers “freestyle dining” instead of set dinner times and locations. Most cruise lines you have an assigned dinner time and location. I’m not sure what I like better…we did end up making reservations at most restaurants but I know some people would have to wait if they didn’t have one…I did miss having the same waiter/waitress every night but our service was very good for every meal!
What do I like better…Disney or Norwegian?
Honestly, this is a toss up…and I would say it depends. The service on both were great but Disney service is always top notch. Disney is perfect for younger families while I think as the kids get older (teens) there is so much do do on Norwegian! The food is great on both, and while I think I like the main dining options on Disney a bit better, I love the specialty options on Norwegian. I love the drink package option on Norwegian and Disney doesn’t offer this. The shows are a toss up and loved them on both! The staterooms were comparable but I like that Disney has more options for families. Disney obviously has that Disney magic and theming that can’t be beat!
Bottom line, you will have a great time on either depending on your interests! I can help you book and plan either (and more cruise lines as well) so reach out if you are interested! Next up, I need to try Royal Caribbean!
Disney Cruise Line itineraries that include a stop at their new private island will start in Summer 2024 and will be available to book starting March 30th! Castaway Cay is already amazing and can’t wait to see how this one turns out!!
One of our favorite character meals is going to start serving breakfast and lunch on May 14th! This is such a great princess interaction meal and currently only open for dinner!!
Starting yesterday, guests who purchase the Disney Genie+ service will now receive FREE digital PhotoPass downloads for attractions photos taken on the day of their purchase!
Keep in mind this is only for ATTRACTION photos meaning not all PhotoPass photos but it’s a great new perk!!!
Our family LOVES the cinnamon rolls from Gaston’s Tavern at Magic Kingdom! Located in Fantasyland by the Little Mermaid ride….can definitely share these…make sure you ask for extra icing!!!!
I'm often asked about what the best age is to bring the kiddos to Disney World... I struggle with answering this question because I think there are things to enjoy with kids at all ages! The things that children enjoy and want to do, change over time but seeing that evolve is also part of the magic! If I would pick the "perfect age" I would say "old enough to ride majority of the rides and young enough to appreciate the magic".....although I still think it's pretty magical at 40!
I have experience with Disney trips with kids at multiple ages and stages in life! I've gone pregnant, with a 5-month-old, with an 18 month old and so on! I'd love to help your family plan the ideal trip for you and your kiddos of any age!
One of my FAVORITE things about a Disney Cruise is the dining!
🛳️ The restaurants are amazing…the food is so good and the theming is so fun!
🛳️ Disney has “rotational dining” so you move restaurants every night to experience a new one AND your server follows you each night and gets to know you and your family!
🛳️ Your server greets you at the door every night and brings you to your table. By the second night, they can already guess your drinks and sometimes have them ready for you!
🛳️ The best part….Our first cruise was 4 adults and 9 kids. They sat the kids on one side and the adults on the other…they helped the kids order food, entertain them while waiting and cut up their food so the adults could talk and enjoy eachother’s company (and their drinks)! It was as relaxing as could be with 9 kids!
🛳️ If you want something that is not on the menu…they can probably help you. Our kids were obsessed with cheesecake and one night it wasn’t on the menu…the sever went to another restaurant to get it for them!
🛳️ oh did I mention how good the food is?!?
Let’s talk resorts!
Art of Animation is a family and client favorite! Why?
✨Amazing Disney theming!
✨Little Mermaid themed rooms for 4 are a great value option and price point
✨ Family Suites that sleep 6, with TWO separate bathrooms and sleeping areas themed after Cars, The Lion King or Finding Nemo
✨3 fun themed pools, my personal favorite is the Cozy Cone Cars Pool
✨ Skyliner transportation to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, my kids think is is basically a ride in itself and it’s so convenient!
✨Excellent variety of food court options for the whole family!
One of our favorites getting a refurbishment so will be closed until Summer 2023…
Hollywood Studios News: Guests have one more day to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster before it closes for refurbishment. The coaster was initially set to close Feb. 20, but an update on the Disney World website now says the closure will begin on Feb. 21. The coaster will reopen summer of 2023 🎸🎢
Which is your favorite? We are a house divided on this one…Em and I love Thunder Mountain while the boys would choose Space Mountain every time!
In the spirit of National Plan for Vacation day I want to hear about your dream vacations!! Tell me where you want to go or wish you could start planning for?? I have many on my bucket list but a top one is a Mediterranean Cruise!!!

Looks like a fun new Toy Story Themed restaurant coming to Hollywood Studios on March 23rd! Get ready for some mouthwatering BBQ and all the fixin's at Roundup Rodeo BBQ! Check out the details and menu: http://spr.ly/61843bMfm
Yesterday, Splash Mountain as we know it closed forever….it’s one of our favorite rides…but don’t worry, it is getting updated to an awesome new design and theme! We can’t wait to go back in 2024 and enjoy it as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!!

As most of you have seen, my family of 7 went to Disney World over Christmas Break. I'm going to give you our family review of the trip! Hopefully it's helpful to someone starting to plan!
Dates: December 26-January 2nd
Resorts: First two nights were at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (Deluxe) and next 5 nights were at Disney's All Star Sports Resort (Value)
Rooms: Because we are a family of 7 we had two connecting rooms at both resorts. This is guaranteed for a large family with one adult in each room.
Transportation from airport: We chose to use Uber/Lyft and it was incredibly easy. We needed two to fit us but requested when we got our bags and they were there in minutes. We were at our hotel in 30 minutes and it cost about $35 per ride.
Stroller Rental: We rented a stroller from Kingdom Strollers for the week in case anyone got tired of walking, we were super glad we had it for John (just turned 6). It was delivered to our resort and they pick up at the resort or we decided to turn it in at the airport. Super easy.
Polynesian Resort: We LOVED the pool, hot tub, view of Magic Kingdom (we watched the fireworks the first night from the beach), the Moana themed large rooms, the beautiful lobby and the monorail access to Magic Kingdom! It was perfect for our Magic Kingdom day and pool day.
Transferring to All Star Sports: We gave our luggage to bell services at the Polynesian and they transported it to All Star Sports. We spent the entire day at the pool and then took monorail to EPCOT and then a bus to All Star Sports.
All Star Sports: I had never stayed at a Value resort and I was very impressed. The boys all loved this resort more than the Polynesian (they loved the football field the most)! We loved the food court and the big Disney theming! We had bus transportation
to the parks (Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Animal Kingdom). The buses ran great and only took about 10-15 minutes to get to the parks.
We did all 4 parks with two pool/rest days and it was great. We did not go to a park on arrival day. Our schedule was: Magic Kingdom, pool day (transfer day), Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, pool day, Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT we were there from early entry to 9-10:00pm.
We did three character dining meals and that was enough for us. We did Ohana breakfast at the Polynesian, Akershus Princess Dinner at EPCOT and Tusker House lunch at Animal Kingdom.
Everyone favorites:
Dan: staying at the Polynesian, loved the feeling of being in Hawaii
Evan (13): Guardians of the Galaxy at EPCOT and Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom
Logan (11): Rockin' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios
Ryan (7): Guardians of the Galaxy at EPCOT and Cinnamon Rolls at Gaston's Tavern at Magic Kingdom
Emmy (7): Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom and the Princess dinner (met Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, and Princess Aurora)
John: (6): Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom and Cinnamon Rolls at Gaston's Tavern
Me: Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios, I had NEVER seen it and it was magical....I had tears.
Other favorites: Indiana Jones and Frozen show at Hollywood Studios, Olaf Scavenger Hunt in EPCOT, playing football at All Star Sports on the field, and taking the monorail to explore resorts.
We did use Genie+ every day and paid for Individual Lightning Lane rides at all 4 parks. We rode EVERYTHING we wanted.
Any questions, let me know! I know this was long but hopefully helpful!
My favorites from each day of our Disney Christmas trip!
Finally!!! After years of seeing the construction…Disney World’s newest ride will open 4/4/2023! Tron looks amazing…it’s a roller coaster where you are riding a motorcycle!!! So fun! Can’t wait to try it in May!
Disney has some great spring/summer promotions going on! Earn a dining card for the restaurants or save a percentage off your room! Reach out for details and create some magical memories with your family!
How cool would it be to run or walk through Disney??!? Here is the schedule of events for 2023/2024 to start thinking about and planning for! Message me for help booking your group!
Yesterday we did EPCOT…some of our favorite rides are here! (Guardians of the Galaxy is simply amazing!) It was a bit tougher day for us with some expected kid meltdowns after 3 Disney park days but we still definitely had some magical moments sprinkled in. Also…the boys were very good sports about our amazing princess dinner!!!
We had a GREAT day at Hollywood Studios yesterday!!
For anyone that books their Disney Vacation (Disney Cruise, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California or Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii) with me between now and December 30th will qualify to be entered to win a $1000 Disney Gift Card! It's an amazing contest by Academy Travel....message me for details!
Consider booking that trip for next year to give the gift of a Disney vacation for Christmas! There is nothing better than creating those amazing memories with the ones you love!
So I find a common theme with my clients…they de-prioritize EPCOT….everyone has different opinions and I hated EPCOT when I was a kid…I thought it was boring….it is NO LONGER BORING! It not only has the best ride in all of Disney World right now with Guardians of the Galaxy but a bunch of my favorites( especially Soarin’)! There are so many rides that you can enjoy and rides for all ages! The dining options are great there too! And Harmonious…is such a spectacular night time show….I get emotional every time I watch it! I could go on and on…but you should probably just go and see for yourself. 😁
EXCITING NEWS: Starting Nov. 14, Disney Cruise Line will no longer require guests (regardless of vaccination status) to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to sailing. This applies to sailings departing from the U.S.
This eliminates so much stress from cruising! Nothing is stopping you now! Contact me for details!
This is the newest cruise ship from Royal Caribbean…Icon of the Seas! It looks absolutely AMAZING! Did you know I can book this for you too?!? 🚢 🏝
