Meet the Coaches!

Who coaches Khob Li Cua. The Director describes her as elegant, independent and courageous!

Hii! I am Macy Hang, you can also call me by my Hmong name which is Mai Chai. I am one of the coaches in DCDA that teaches Khob Li Cua. Fun fact about me, I used to be a dancer in Khob Li Cua of 2023 and part of 2024. I have only 2 years of dancing experience which I started my first experience with LCDA which is now called DCDA. I am currently a member in DCDA as one of the dancers that Duabci Vang is coaching . I have decided to start my coaching experience with DCDA cause I feel like my dancing years is coming to an end as I get older and I wanna help those who wanna pursue in dancing.

Besides Hmong dancing and coaching, I have other plans in my future life such as pursuing in the medical field as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, not only that I wanna experience a pageant life, competing as one myself. I wanna guide younger kids about our culture and how much impact they can make with their knowledge nowadays.

As next year comes, I may resign as dancer myself and become a full time coach for DCDA or start up another academy just like DCDA.

Who coaches Ntxhais Dej Ntshiab and Huab Laim Txias. the Director describes her as inspirational, outgoing and intelligent!

Hello everyone! My name is Junesha. I also go by my Hmong name which is Kabnag. Before becoming a coach for DCDA I was a dancer for the group KLC and NNZ for a very short time. I had more experience in dance when it came to school. I was a dancer for school about 4ish years. As the year is coming to an end, I am stepping down from being a dancer and counting this passion for dance as a coach for the groups HLT and NDN. This is my first ever year teaching younger girls, I’ve learned a lot and seen a lot of improvements. I love teaching the younger generation to have more connections of our culture because it’s a very meaningful and beautiful thing for us.

Other than dance I also have other passions of my own such as photography and hopefully in the future pageant, either if it’s Miss Hmong Wisconsin teen or Miss Hmong in general . I would like to experience the pageant world itself as well. Photography is something important to me. I grew up taking pictures for my sister and family and it has brought me to where I would love to be a photographer one day. Which brings me to NWTC the next following fall 2025 for further education for photography.

As life goes on I would love to travel and try new things everyday. I can’t wait to see what these girls have to bring to the stage and share with each and every one of you!

The Director who manages all teams and coaches all teams but emphasizes her focus on the ELITE teams of Duab Ci Dance Academy! The Director describes herself as a funny, easy going and dedicated.

Hello there! My name is Duabci! Before I became the Director/Owner, I was originally was a dancer myself! After many years of regular dancing and competitive dancing I now switched my passion on stage to being off stage and behind the scenes. Outside of being in the dance world for almost 2 decades, I found myself in many different paths in my life such as pageantry, modeling, makeup artist, sewing and hairstylist. Though, I have now closed many of those doors, I do keep my foot in the door to help out individuals and guiding them in the paths I once took. Now, my focus is on making great memories with my dance academy and spending time with my husband and two fur babies!

I want to thank Macy and Junesha. For being such amazing coaches and I am glad to call them my team. Thank you for your endless dedication!

We are so grateful for all the opportunities that have been offered and humbly accept all the generosity either it is just sharing, liking, keeping up with us or, booking us or more. Nkauj Taws Cig and Ntxhais Nkauj Ntsuab, our elite teams of DC Dance Academy competed this weekend at the Oshkosh Labor Day! Come watch our sister teams Ntxhais Dej Ntshiab and Huab Laim Txais at 4:30pm today! And for results for the dance competition at 4:45pm!💓

Good luck to all teams! We are so proud of NTC and NNN regardless. NTC, this is the strongest we have seen you yet! You have shown perseverance through any means and continue to amaze me! NNN, your first competition! We are so proud of you and you have worked very hard to be where you are! We are learning and growing every time we see each other!

4th Place Baby!!!
We are so proud of Nkauj Taws Cig, though they didn’t take top three they had a lot of wins this weekend! Only 3 POINTS AWAY from 3rd Place and 5 POINTS AWAY from 2nd! They also took the lead on Day 1 with 1ST PLACE Round 1 (Highest score)! We have gotten so much positive feedback regards to our dances and want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement! So many wins! We are very proud of NTC and so thankful to have such independent and giving dancers as them!

Though we faced a lot of challenges this weekend we pushed through and persevere!

We would like to also address an issue that occurred during the competition on Day 1 regards to an individual who was related to a NTC dancer. We want to clarify that we were all unaware of the individual being a judge until it was announced and did immediate take action to let the coordinators know regards to it in fairness and respect for all teams. We do not blame anyone in this situation as all parties, the team, the dancer and individual were all unaware of eachother’s participation in the competition along with the dance committee being unaware of the judge being related as well. We were asked to continue onward with the competition until further notice which we did and the issue was resolved promptly and smoothly. NTC was genuinely shocked and will always do right by all teams as we would expect from any team would do in return. We want to thank Sheila and Gaozong for their amazing work and being able to accommodate to all the teams and give everyone their needs.

Congratulations to Ntxhais Ntsa Iab for 1st Place! Your outfits were beautiful! You always have the coolest routines and outfits!

Congratulations to Royal Dynasty for 2nd Place! We are so proud of you ladies! You all have come so far and worked so hard!

Congratulations to Mystic Moon for 3rd place! Your Miao outfits and Dance is our coach’s favorite! Everything about it is 😍!

Lastly, we want to thank our dance moms Maiv, Nina and Molla for pulling missions and your sleepless nights this weekend in ensuring the dancers look amazing! Thank you to all our dance moms Maiv, Nina, Molla, Dianne and Blia for your endless support this past weekend! Biggest thanks to NTC 2023 Dancer Chan for her endless help and support! Without her this weekend we would have been a mess! She was doing everything she could for the team and even more! Thank you!
