October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

What many people do not know about breast cancer is the surprisingly close connection it has to our oral health. Taking care of your teeth is incredibly important to your overall health and well being.

The Breast Cancer Research & Treatment Journal noticed women who had gum disease or poor oral health were 11x more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Be diligent about your oral health care and be sure to schedule your routine cleaning and exam with your dentist 🦷

PLEASE NOTE:::

❗️ Dr. Luther will NOT be in the office or available from Mon Sept 30th - Sun Oct 6th as he will be on his annual fishing trip!

He WILL be here, in-office, on Mon Oct 7th & Tues Oct 8th but then returns to fishing and will NOT be available from Wed Oct 9th - Mon Oct 14th. ❗️

During those times, our fabulous Hygiene team and front office ladies will still be here trying to prevent the office from burning down 😉

Our office closed a little early yesterday afternoon because Advanced Professional Healthcare Education LLC dedicated their time educating and recertifying the staff here at Timbercrest Denter Center in BLS (basic life support), CPR, Automated External Defibrillators (also known as AEDs), and the Heimlich maneuver for all ages! ⛑

It is so important to keep up to date with our education and training in case of emergencies that could be life-saving!

Dr. Luther is also educated and fully trained in ALS which is Advanced Life Support. He is trained to care for patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies and can perform more advanced invasive life-saving measures before medical professional help arrives!

We have a specific location in our office that holds our life-saving materials so we're ready to go if and when needed! We gotchu 😉

To clarify a little further ::: hygiene can be rough on a hygienist's wrists and after 20+ years of being a dedicated hygienist, Wendy therefore needs surgery. She may not have a routine schedule here going forward BUT she will be here with us from time to time to help fill in for vacation time when our other hygienists take some well deserved time off.

Wendy's passion and dedication for hygiene is unmatched and we are going to miss having her here full time. We are so incredibly fortunate to still have her here with us as this "isn't goodbye but until next time"...as she has said.

The week seems to be starting out rather gloomy and rainy but it should be a beautiful week! April showers bring May flowers am I right?! 🌷🪻🌺🌼

Every year, Dr. Luther donates to the Calumet County VFW Post #3153 for their annual veterans benefit in support of some amazing Wisconsin veterans and one of these outstanding veterans happens to be a long time patient of ours. We have some tickets here at the office if anyone would like to stop by and purchase tickets towards this great cause. They are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20.

Help us support our veterans and also win some amazing prizes while doing so!
