Nancy is Matias’s mother in law and my mom…she’s been our rock through all the chapters here at Authors and is now battling a tough diagnosis of small cell carcinoma. We will have tons of amazing raffle baskets, snacks and drinks. All raffle proceeds and 50% of the Authors sales go directly to her for the holistic care she’s seeking. Have you seen this beautiful lady at Authors? Maybe she was with a grandkid or maybe she was decorating the restaurant for a holiday. She is Matias's mother in law, and my mom Nancy Ullsperger. She's the design eye for decorating both restaurants and has been there for Matias, Josh and I every step of the way. Visiting the restaurant right now is not an option after her cancer diagnosis and it's greatly impacted all of our lives. We love her so much...she embodies selflessness and has always put our family first.

We are holding a benefit for her here at AK+B on Friday 9/6 to help with alternative/holistic treatments that don't take insurance - details below. We want to help her focus on the long road ahead, family and healing and not on bills. We will have snacks, drinks, raffle items and silent auction items from so many generous donors (THANK YOU)! All of the raffle sales go straight to her and half of the food/beverage sales this evening go directly to her too. Join us if you can and help spread the positive vibes for her recovery. With Mile of Music, we decided to extend our hours and will transition to a limited menu from 2pm - ?? — we’re hoping to make it until 7pm or 8pm but it will all depend on how long the chefs survive 😆.
