Although we are not experts, we'd love to share some advise when it comes to parenting. You aren't alone, we are in your corner!

Feelings.....
sending a child to their room to process their feelings alone can create massive feelings of abandonment.
Imagine being five years old, not understanding how you feel so you melt down.
Then an adult says "GO TO YOUR ROOM UNTIL YOU CALM DOWN!"

Two things are lacking in this scenario.
Empathy
Guidance

Try this instead.
Remember that their emotions are not yours.
It's okay for kids to get upset at the boundaries we set.
It's their job to test them.
Walk them through what they're feeling.
Let it happen.
When the time is right, go back and re-explain the boundaries in a different calm, and empathetic way. 😇

Having the right mindset and attitude can change your life.

If you're a newer family, you have only known Mr. Bautista on the floor, if you are a long time CMA family, you remember him from a few years back at our Northland Location.

We have heard numerous times from our families that so many are thrilled about his return!

We couldn't be more proud to have Mr. Bautista leading our program. He is patient, he is kind, he demands an attentive floor, is awesome with our students and a true leader for our team!

Fun fact, he was brought up in his own Martial Arts experience under Mr. Tassoul himself. 👊🏻 🥋💪🏻

We love having him back on our team and on our floor leading our students and setting the highest bar for expectations to create the absolute best Martial Artists around!

Where do we start with our team member Miss Cady?

She is usually the face you see at the start of the evening and can be found with a smile everywhere she goes. She is there to assist our students on the floor, help them with questions and work with them on perfecting their skills.

Miss Cady is one of our lead assistant instructors. She began her Martial Arts journey with us in 2021 and we couldn't be more proud to have her as a part of our team.

Closed for the Holidays. No classes December 21st-January 2, 2024.

As we head into the weekend of the holiday, and although we will miss our CMA families, we will be closed for holiday break to give our team members and our students time to be fully focused on their families, the holidays and rest.

Ya know what makes a great business? An unstoppable TEAM! As we head into the holidays, we wanted to make sure to give a shout out to our amazing team members!

We have an incredible crew at CMA and we couldn't be more proud of these two ladies on and off the mat. As parents, we also understand the importance of good role models and leading by example.

Ya know what we hear often about these two lovelies? THEY ARE THE BEST ROLE MODELS! We absolutely love compliments. In the world we live in today where complaints and criticisms are abundant, we have no problem also hearing your positive praise!

Miss Abigail and Miss Raegan, we appreciate you both and you make our CMA family stronger!

Miss Bernistine, aka Miss B, aka Bubbles ♥️

What can we say about our new Program Director? A LOT! This young lady has been an amazing addition to our team and she has taken this position and kicked it up a notch! Her passion and drive are unmatched and her work ethic is incredible.

We are continuing to try to keep up with her and keep her busy as she is taking on tasks far beyond what we expected. Stay tuned and watch for the incredible things she is bringing to our CMA families!

And by the way, huge shoutout to Miss B on recently earning her Yellow Belt!

Parents need date nights.

We love being able to support our parents and offer them a night out without a babysitter! We will keep your kiddos active, wear them down and have a blast while you are carefree and out and about for the evening.

Then, make a plan.

What will you do each day to contribute toward your goal?

Break a big goal into small steps, and suddenly, it’s so achievable.

With the holidays knocking on our door, we wanted our parents to know you are not alone. We realize that kids have their own ideas about gifts, giving and all the to do's over the holidays and we wanted to assure you that we are here to support you!

We've got a tip that we would love to share!

The one parenting idea that no one is talking about.....

Instead of having your child make a gift/wish list, try helping them make a "contribution list!"

This list can include things they'd like to do for the family, community, school or even just friends.

Creating a list like this will help your child build core values unlike anyone else they know 😉. Values that will help them succeed at an even higher level in life. We love watching kids grow into amazing humans and are here to help support you.
