Happy Wednesday! This week has been crazy so it was so nice to clear my head and spend a little time playing with paint techniques. Check out all the patina this sample board has to offer! I am loving the weathered look! Hmmm…may be a finish on my next piece.

The color of this vintage drop down Secretary was inspired by the vibrant green leaves of my limelight hydrangeas. Green is one of my favorite colors. Well…right behind blue:). The drop down desk opens to reveal a beautiful toile painting. I used Amy Howard English Garden one step paint. Do you spy our little Westie that got in on the photo action?

I was finally able to muster the energy to work on some sample boards for upcoming projects today. For those of you who know me, resting does not come easy. I am one speed…go…go…go. All this resting is making me a little batty so it felt so good to exercise a few of those creative muscles! Played around with Amy Howard at Home milk paint and one step paints. I can’t wait to be back to business!

Phew, Covid is still trying to keep its grimy paws on me but I have managed to work on a few small pieces. Hoping to have this one ready to reveal in a few days! Another beautiful color Using Amy Howard at Home products. Now I must nap….

Nothing like having to spend the entire day undoing someone’s very bad repairs before I can even begin painting. Instead of repairing the damage properly they just tried to cover it up. SMH….it may take me countless hours to repair all of this but rest assured when I am done it will be done properly!

Covid may have had me down but not out! Finally finished this 4 drawer vintage dresser. Features a beautiful damask pattern and antiqued gold hardware. It is done in creamy neutrals with a subtle crackle finish. Available now in my Etsy shop. Please see link in my bio.

Sharing just one of the pretty details from a piece I am finishing up this week. I updated the k***s using Amy Howard at Home Gold Leaf. Finished them up with some antiquing so they matched the age of the piece. I love how they turned out!

Happy Monday! I walked outside this morning after a 2 wk vacation to find my limelight’s putting on a show for me! It has inspired the color choice for a piece I will be working on next week. Can’t wait to share!

Do you just love this piece? I’m a little late on my delivery of the final reveal but life kind of took over this past week! The hard work of stripping this late 1890’s chest was well worth the final result. This could be used in so many areas of the home; bedroom, foyer, dining room, etc. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE a beautiful piece of painted furniture but the natural birds eye maple is perfect in so many ways.
