Reminder! The Ardmore Master Plan Workshop is Thursday, November 17th at the Ardmore Avenue Community Center. All are welcome to attend.
It is with great excitement that we invite the community to participate in the Fall Ardmore Master Plan Open House and Community Workshop. Please plan to join us at the Ardmore Avenue Community Center on Thursday, November 17th to learn about draft ideas and provide input on community preferences, identify areas of community consensus/agreement and areas requiring further refinement. For flexibility there will be two sessions for community members to participate in, with presentations starting at 5:30 and 7:15.

The Ardmore Initiative- a Business Improvement District/Main Street Program- has been revitalizing and advocating for Ardmore’s historic downtown and commercials corridors since 1993. AI is seeking a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and office experience to immediately fill the role of Office Manager. This is a part-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Office support including but not limited to data entry and database management, communicating with stakeholders and general public, maintaining filing systems, and ordering office supplies.
· Maintain property occupancy/vacancy data. Improve data systems as needed.
· Minor bookkeeping to pay office bills, create invoices, record transactions, and prepare deposits and financial reports.
· Write, prepare and distribute newsletters via MailChimp
· Event ex*****on and management support including tracking event finances and sponsorships, communicating with vendors, managing ticket sales.
Qualifications
· Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel. Quickbooks experience preferred.
· Ability to operate office equipment, such as printer/copier, and phone systems.
· Deadline-oriented team player willing to be involved in all aspects of the organization.
· Clear & effective communication skills-written and verbal.
· Careful attention to detail
Job Specifics
· Flexible schedule, 15-20 hours/week- time and days to be mutually agreed upon. Occasional night and weekend duties for special events. $20/hour.

Last week, the Ardmore Initiative held the organization's annual Stakeholder Meeting and Leadership Breakfast at the Ardmore Music Hall. Suburban Square sponsored the morning filled with updates from our organization, information on on-going construction and development, and an update on the Lower Merion Township Master Plan. Ardmore Initiative Stakeholder Meeting - Destination Ardmore The Ardmore Initiative recently held the organization’s annual Stakeholder Meeting and Leadership Breakfast. The morning was held at the Ardmore Music Hall and was sponsored by Suburban Square.

The Ardmore Train Station entrance at Station Avenue is closed as of today, January 10, 2022, and will remain closed for approximately 18 months. This means that passengers will board and exit the train using the new low-level platforms west of Anderson Avenue utilizing the Ardmore West Parking Lot side for trains inbound toward Philadelphia and the Suburban Square Parking Lot side for trains outbound toward Paoli-Thorndale.
Directional signage will be posted throughout the area to help guide passengers to the new train boarding areas. Please observe all signage and warnings for safety purposes.
