OSU Rock Crawler Study Seeks User and Business Operator Input
What started out with a few friends seeking a fun outing climbing on the natural rock formations below the Pensacola Dam now draws thousands annually with John Sumner’s Big Meat Run in March setting the bar extremely high. Some estimate as many as 10,000 enthusiast show up for the event. From the provision of adequate crowd control to safety issues, the Grand River Dam Authority has had a lot to think about in managing their asset below the Pensacola Dam. Earlier this year, the authority contracted with Oklahoma State University to study this growing entity and make management and enforcement recommendations. The team, led by Dr, Lowell Canady, has interviewed users, GRDA personnel and business operators, but has set one additional meeting to solicit input from all concerned before finalizing their findings and submitting recommendations to the GRDA.
The meeting is set for this Thursday at the GRDA Eco-Systems Building, located at the west end of the Pensacola Dam in the Grand Hall located in the lower level. Things will get underway at 1:00pm. Dr. Canady will have a detailed Power Point presentation summarizing the study before opening the meeting up for the public’s input.

As I see it Disney has great opportunity for revenue from the off-road community, WHY would the mayor want to nit pick, tax& ticket visitors that come to town to spend $$$$$$
I think she wants to destroy the local business owners because they have bulled up to her & her poor decision making that is bad for the towns economic gain. Boo ! to you Mayor Barger!
