Tired of dealing with greasy, oily hair? Here are some tips to help you banish the oil and keep your locks looking fresh and clean! 🌟💁‍♀️

1. Stop washing your hair everyday: Believe it or not, washing your hair too often can actually contribute to oiliness! Your scalp produces natural oils that help to nourish and protect the hair, and over-washing can strip away these oils, causing the scalp to overcompensate and produce even more.

2. Use a gentle shampoo: When you do wash your hair, make sure you're using a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo that won't irritate the scalp or strip away natural oils.

3. Avoid hot water: Hot water can cause the scalp to dry out, leading to the production of even more oil, so try to use lukewarm or cool water when shampooing and conditioning.

4. Use dry shampoo: A quick and easy way to absorb oil and refresh your locks between washes is to use a dry shampoo. Spray it onto your roots and work it in with your fingers for instant volume and freshness.

5. Blow-dry your hair: One of the most under-rated tips to avoid an oily scalp is to blow dry your hair. The heat from the blowdryer evaporates the oils off your scalp, and allows your hair strands to dry without any oil production happening. NEVER go to sleep with wet hair.

6. Don't wash just because you got sweaty: I know I know, this one sounds gross. But I promise you, if you just take the time to blowdry your sweat (which is just salt water btw) and spray a little dry shampoo, no one will ever know you went to the gym that morning!

7. Take care of your scalp: Your hair grows from your scalp, and your scalp is skin that is just as important as your face. If you don't treat it when its dry, it will build up oils and dead skin into your hair strands, causing more dirty hair!

8. Brush your hair: Brushing your hair can help to distribute natural oils throughout the hair, keeping it moisturized and healthy. Just be sure to use a clean brush and avoid over-brushing, which can stimulate oil production.

When I moved to a new suite a year ago, my biggest goal was to revamp the vibe of my space. Those of you that have been around probably know I hated the decor in my first suite. It was rushed and I felt it didn't reflect my brand or me as a stylist. ⁠

I get asked all the time "What do you like more: blondes or extensions?"

Oh my gosh, it feels like such an impossible question!

It's like asking me to choose between the cake and the frosting... I'll take both please!!

So here's the thing... both are great, but together they're even better. Blonde hair is the cake, extensions are the frosting.

I love blondes because no two are ever the same. Creating a perfect blonde is truly an art form to me and every individual gets a different application and different formulation. That perfect outcome is just the base to having truly great hair.

I’m Haley! I, like many of you, wear many hats in life. I am a hand-tied extension specialist, blonde hair specialist, a license cosmetologist since 2018, a wife, Oreo addict, weight lifting enthusiast, and best of all a new[ish] mom to my perfect son RJ 🖤

When I’m not in the salon you can find me at home cooking or baking, or just binging Grey’s Anatomy with my husband. Or maybe just trying to calm my extremely energetic pitbull, Javier. My husband and I also find as much time to travel as possible, recently venturing into more international trips! (RJ included 😍)

I swear doing hair is an addiction of mine. Being in the salon installing some extensions or applying a full head of foils brings so much joy to me. I pride myself in taking the time to really pay attention to detail, listen to my guests wants, and make sure they know every step of the process that’s happening.
