Reason #1 to go with a steel building

Steel does not burn, it does not ignite, it does not feed the flames, and it does not cause the fire to spread. Steel frame is recognized as a noncombustible material by the International Building Code. When correctly planned and constructed, steel frames may preserve structural integrity during fire exposure, unlike timber structures that would burn or vinyl buildings that will melt.

This does not negate the fact that metal buildings are subject to fire safety and protection requirements. Metal buildings and fire safety are covered under the International Building Code, and the Metal Building Manufacturers Association collaborated with the Underwriters Laboratory to produce standards for steel and other metal building materials which Bald Eagle adheres to.
