DC BRAU CELEBRATES 10 YEARS AT MERIDIAN PINT

FRIDAY, APRIL 16TH, 2021 @ 12 pm

Ten years ago Meridian Pint was the 1st Bar / Restaurant to serve beer from DC Brau, the first production brewery in the nation’s capital in over 50 years.

For this momentous occasion, we will be serving $6 Drafts and $5 Cans of some of your favorite DC Brau Beer.
We will be featuring DC Brau’s 1st beer, “The Public” along with…
Drafts: The Public (American Pale), Brau Pils (German Pilsner), Joint Resolution (Hazy IPA), & Not Your Pet Cow (Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout).

Cans: The Public, The Imperial (Double IPA), & Full Transparency – Orange Crush (Hard Seltzer).

To celebrate we are making DC Brau Anniversary Pack to take home or enjoy at The Pint.

My Beloved Arlington Community,

It is with heavy heart I announce I am no longer the principal owner of Meridian Pint. This past year presented fiscal challenges that were difficult to survive. And although Meridian Pint and its staff received heroic and loyal support from our incredible Arlington neighbors, ultimately, Meridian Pint was simply unprepared financially to keep operating to a level that the community and our amazing staff deserves.

Recently, the opportunity was presented to pass the torch on to an organization better prepared to carry on the legacy of Meridian Pint. The decision was tough but obvious. I am pleased to tell you that under new management, Meridian Pint will now begin its next chapter in Arlington, ready to serve you everything you have come to love, only better. Expect to see shelves brimming with adult beverages, a full fine-tuned menu and expanded hours. The friendly staff you love will continue on with the new owners, inspired and well-supported.

I hope that you will support this next phase in the story of our neighborhood gathering place along with me. You will continue to see me at “The Oldest Bar in Dominion Hills” regularly. Except from now on, I’ll be on the customer side of the bar. It has truly been my greatest pleasure and honor in serving you.

To our wonderful community, I want to reach out to make a continuing plea for you all to allow us to serve you on a regular basis. This year has been challenging like no other and just doesn't seem to end. While there is now a vaccine on the horizon it likely won't make an impact until later next year. We are now feeling the full brunt of the cold Fall season and preparing for what I'm sure will be a brutal winter because.....2020. With our patio preparing to close and the likelihood that phased openings will get dialed back we are in serious need of our communities support once again. Please, once again, consider ordering carry-out or delivery once a week or every two weeks and don't forget to add an adult beverage. This has been our go-to October beer for years, for a reason. It is hands down fantastic.

Join us for dinner. Don’t mind the rain, we’ve got socially distanced indoor seating and the doors will remain open to keep the fresh air flowing.

2020 has been a year like no other with it's countless challenges, struggles and tests of our sanity. These are the moments that can truly bring out the best in all of us and bring together a community in the worst of times.

Over the summer our friend and neighbor Parresh McMahon stopped in to the restaurant with friends and asked me how the business was doing considering the shutdown. I was honest and told her that I didn't think we could last through the end of the Summer. She refused to accept that as a possibility and immediately began the "Save the Pint" campaign on social media and included a GoFundMe page which to date has raised nearly $4,500 to help cover our payroll expenses. Business has once again dipped in these last two weeks so next week I will withdraw your generous donations to help cover our employee's wages. The GoFundMe page will remain up for one more week.

When I went into the GoFundMe account that Parresh had set up to begin the withdrawal process I took a moment to look through the list of all the wonderful people that have made donations. I was over taken with emotion seeing so many donations from so many community friends who, despite these challenging times, were able and willing to help Meridian Pint live to fight another day. While our future still remains uncertain I can definitively tell you that your donations along with your continued dining support have kept us in the fight for a bit longer. Hopefully the tides turn in our favor sooner than later. For now we will continue to do everything we can to bring you what we believe you are looking for like adult beverages to-go, affordable family packs, tasty specials and coming soon, our subscription lunch service to ease the burden of those staying at home with your virtual learners.

I personally cannot thank you all enough for your support and want you all to know that as long as I am a member of this community I will do everything I can to support each and every one of you in anyway I can. Thank you so so much. I look forward to the day when I can see our dining room once again filled with all your smiling faces.
