Unbound and she will give a tour of that as well. Her personal story of being tied to aprons of her Ukrainian/Lithuanian ancestors and how she connected so deeply with the aprons she saw market women wear in El Salvador is truly a story of how we are all connected.

We PAUSED! Unbound is a year-long exhibit in response to the 2021 project We PAUSED! A Handmade Book by artist Sushmita Mazumdar and Studio PAUSE for Gates of Ballston, which chronicles a year of the COVID-19 pandemic. When Arlington Arts invited Studio PAUSE to turn the book into an exhibit, the project team decided to cut the strings that bound the book and re-imagine its contents in a new light, letting lines of poetry pulled from the book inspire four thematic installations.
The exhibit continues Studio PAUSE, a community space for art and stories in Arlington, VA’s work in creating a space for all voices and providing support for our social-emotional wellness while documenting how we as a community can connect even when we are isolated.
