Myth: Gas Furnace is the Most Expensive Heating System
Fact: Yes; gas furnaces are indeed more expensive than a few other heating systems such as an electric furnace however, this only applies to the installation stage. When it comes to the heating power, coupled with the lower cost of natural gas, it still doesn’t make it the most expensive option. If you have natural gas lines running to your home, you’re good to go!
Did you know?
One of America’s Founding Fathers kept warm with a furnace. The first White House heating system, a Pettibone furnace, was installed in 1801 when James Madison, our nation’s fourth president, was in office.

Myth: Keeping the Lights on Saves Energy
Some people argue that it’s better to keep the lights on constantly rather than keep turning them off then back on because it saves energy. Keeping the lights on constantly won’t reduce your energy costs. Instead, you’ll lower your electricity costs by turning the lights off when you aren’t using them.
Did You know?
The first car with air conditioning was introduced in 1939 by the Packard Motor Company. It wasn’t very popular due to it’s high cost and the fact that the system took up half the trunk space.

Myth: You Don’t Have to Prepare for the Heating Season
Fact: There are a few things you need to do each season before using your heater. You should have routine maintenance performed regularly, plus you should check to make sure the components are working correctly, ensure the HVAC unit outside is clear, and test the system in advance of using it.
Here are some signs that your electrical panel may need to be replaced:
Flickering lights
A loose connection between the breaker and wires can cause flickering lights, which may seem minor but could be a sign of a more serious issue.
Tripping breakers
Frequent tripping breakers can indicate a larger problem with the electrical system.
Rusted or broken panel
A corroded or rusting panel is unsafe and no longer functional.
Buzzing sounds
Buzzing or humming sounds from the breaker box could indicate a loose wire or bad breaker that could cause a fire.
Sharp smell
An acrid odor from the panel could indicate frayed wiring or an electrical fire.
Faulty or outdated breakers
Old or outdated breakers may not trip when they should, which can cause wires to overheat and start a fire.
Melted wires
Melted wires are a sign that the electrical system is being overworked and the panel needs to be replaced.
Discolored outlets
Discolored outlets or surrounding walls could indicate that the outlet is burned, damaged, or improperly installed.
Outdated fuse box
Fuse boxes are considered outdated and are a serious safety hazard

Myth: TANKLESS WATER HEATERS REDUCE WATER PRESSURE.
Reality: False. If you’re experiencing low water pressure with a tankless water heater, it’s likely you have the wrong model for your household’s water usage or flow rate. When properly installed, a tankless water heater will produce hot water within 2 degrees of the set temperature. Water pressure is only restricted to achieve that temperature when the model is not adequate to keep up with the difference in pressures.

Standby Generator Myth: Size Doesn’t Matter!
Fact: Matching your generator’s size to your power needs is crucial for safe and effective operation. A 10,000-watt generator might be sufficient to temporarily power a freezer and a few basic appliances. However, running complex equipment like computers, air conditioning, or medical devices for extended periods requires a significantly stronger generator. Consulting a power generation specialist ensures you choose a generator that meets your specific needs without risking overload.
Did you know?
Standby generators can provide many benefits, including:
Convenience:
Standby generators are wired into your electrical system and turn on automatically when there's a power outage, so you don't need to manually connect anything. They can power your entire home at once, including essentials like your fridge and phone, for hours or even days.
Safety:
Standby generators eliminate the need for gasoline and power cords, which can reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and CO poisoning.
Power output:
Standby generators are more powerful than portable generators, with a power output of 8,000–20,000 watts compared to 3,000–8,500 watts.
Quiet:
Standby generators are insulated and have weatherproof housing, so they're much quieter than portable generators.
Peace of mind:
Standby generators can provide peace of mind during unexpected power outages, especially for children and the elderly.
Food preservation:
Standby generators can keep your fridge and freezer running during power outages, which can help prevent food from spoiling and save you money on unnecessary waste.

Myth: Square footage is the sole factor to determine HVAC sizing.
Quite the opposite, sizing the HVAC system correctly is a complex calculation that considers much more than just your home’s square footage. Here are the other factors a trained heating and cooling technician must take into consideration when choosing the appropriate size of HVAC system:
1. Climate
2. Window size and layout
3. How well your home is insulated
4. The rate at which outdoor air gets indoors
5. Which way your house is oriented
6. Occupancy levels
7. Heat generated in the home
Did you know?
Movie theaters were some of the first establishments to have air conditioning as a strategy to get more people to go to the movies. It worked handsomely, and this is why we have the term “summer blockbuster”.
Electric Vehicle Charger ~
GET A FREE ESTIMATE!
What are the benefits of using a home EV charger?
Cost savings: Charging at home can be cheaper than using public charging stations. Electricity used for charging at home may also cost less than other charging options.
Faster charging: A home EV charger can charge an EV up to three times faster than a standard 3-pin plug charger.
Battery life: Consistent charging from a home EV charger can help extend your vehicle's battery life by avoiding increased temperatures that can reduce battery life.
Convenience: You can plug in your vehicle overnight and have a recharged battery the next day.
Property value: A home EV charger can make your home more appealing to potential buyers who are interested in electric vehicles, which may increase its value.
Lower emissions: EV owners can help reduce their carbon footprint and combat climate change by charging their vehicles at home.
Safer: Charging at home can be safer than charging elsewhere.
Range anxiety: Home EV chargers can help alleviate range anxiety, which is the fear of not having enough charge to reach your destination.

Myth: HVAC systems only cool and heat your home.
When it comes to HVAC systems, many believe that their only purpose is to cool and heat your home. However, this is not the case. HVAC systems also circulate air throughout your home, essential for maintaining a comfortable environment. By ensuring that your HVAC system is properly maintained, you can rest assured that your home will be comfortable all year long.
Hot and cold spots can develop when your home isn’t adequately circulated, making it difficult to relax or get comfortable. Also, stagnant air can lead to several health problems, such as respiratory issues and allergies.
