Construction on ACTIV has been active! Since our last update, we now have drywall and windows being installed, which helps to define the individual spaces in this incredible facility. The Youth Programs - Standards of Care are intended to be minimum standards by which the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department (APRD) will operate its youth programs. The programs operated by APRD are recreational in nature and are not licensed by the state of Texas as certified daycare programs.
These Standards of Care are adopted by ordinance after the public has had 30 days to review and submit comments. To provide input during the current 30-day window (Aug. 1-30), please email Center Programs Manager Krissy Crosier at [email protected].
Any parent, visitor or staff may register a complaint by calling the Arlington Parks and Recreation Administration Office at 817-459-5474, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Back in 1990, Phase 1 of River Legacy Park opened to the public! This provided 376 acres of wooded multi-use park. Throughout the next three decades, River Legacy Park would grow to encompass over 1000 acres as the crown jewel of Arlington's park system 🌳

SPLASH PAD UPDATE: Due to the recent weather, the contractor has delayed work on Don Misenhimer Splash Pad. The expected re-opening is now Monday, July 29th. To create a safer and less slippery surface when wet, Don Misenhimer Splash Pad is currently closed for resurfacing. Please continue to monitor our pages for updates.
