*****GRASS FED*****
It is extremely rare for me to share the progress of creating one of my paintings. But I thought maybe it would inspire the artist in each one of us. Where does it begin one may ask. It is a spark that ignites in your heart and mind and travels to your hand through to your brush. It is usually begins with a feeling or a memory. Quite crude when I begin and I even doubt myself if it will ever make a painting. I cringe at the thought of showing y'all. Perseverance possibly contributes to pushing through because at times I feel like tossing it aside and starting over. But somewhere during the process and not in any given time I have that "Ah ha!" moment and yes it just may make a painting. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
*****GRANDMA'S QUILTS*****
"New off the easel"
One of my fondest memory as a young girl while growing up on the farm was playing under freshly washed sheets and blankets that were hanging to dry on my mother's clothesline. What was even more special was the heavier quilts and comforters that sagged because then my siblings and I were allowed to play with my dad's flashlight(which was a rare occasion) to pretend we were camping. We never owned a tent so it was the next best thing to it. And maybe because of my childhood "pretending" my imagination and creativity contributed to me being an artist. So I would like for ya'll to have a Fun and Fond Thoughts of a Thursday!!
Celebrate the 4th of July!!
