Although the Fed may cut rates soon, this won’t directly impact mortgage rates—but the current drop is a key opportunity. **DFW Real Estate Market Update**

With job growth slowing down and mortgage rates averaging around 6.3%, the Dallas-Fort Worth area could see a boost in housing activity. According to NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun, lower mortgage rates, which have already dropped below 6% for FHA and VA loans, may encourage homebuyers to act despite concerns about a weakening job market. Historically, falling interest rates have a greater impact on home sales than employment figures.

If rates continue to drop, as forecasted, we may see more buyers in the DFW market looking to secure homes at favorable rates. Stay informed on this potential opportunity as we watch how these trends unfold!

Texas high-speed rail project gets nearly $64 million grant With an estimated cost of $30 billion, the proposed 240-mile high-speed rail line would travel between Dallas and Houston in 90 minutes.

Arlington is pleased to announce a call for Neighborhood Matching Grant projects. Eligible neighborhoods can apply for up to $10,000 or up to $25,000 for projects like landscaping, public art, streetscaping and more.

To apply, a project team representative must attend an information session. Below is the schedule for September and October.
